Saimoe Tournament 2008 Group Stage Finals Day 1

Block A Finals

CLANNAD [Ibuki Fuko @ CLANNAD]
[Hanyuu @ Higurashi no Naku Koro ni]

Block C Finals

[Hiiragi Kagami @ Lucky Star]
CLANNAD [Fujibayashi Kyou @ CLANNAD]

YOSHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Kagami proceeds. That meant Kyou got about 1000 over fake votes since it was 2000 Kyou vs 1800 Kagami right before the end according to the vote tracker. Crazy fake voters.

Poor Hanyuu also loses to Starfish. I guess even a god cannot beat an astral projection of love and starfishes. Also Fuko had an impressive number of 2.2k votes before the end. Again, crazy fake voters.

In any case, we’ll now have our first two participants of the main finals.

Next round 10/20:-

Block B Finals

Chiba Kirino @ BAMBOO BLADE]
Yuuki Mikan @ To-LOVE-ru]

The kendo practitioner of 1000 faces vs the reliable imouto, hmm, not really a match eh. I’m surprised Mikan got as far as this stage, really. Well, we might actually see an upset though.

Block D Finals

(CLANNAD) [Sakagami Tomoyo @ CLANNAD]
Miyako @ Hidamari Sketch]

And for Block D, looks like the Hidamari fans will be fighting dearly for their final rep’s survival in the tournament. Tomoyo is a pretty strong match.

… And so the virtual ‘mirror’ match between the purple-haired tsunderes ends.

    Ahaha, love the pun.

Ahaha, get it? Mirror, Kagami, and Kyou as an alternate reading… Ah heck, it was a corny pun anyway…

    Well….Fuuko is #1 in Japan….

    *sniff* Poor Hanyuu.

gah, why can’t Fuko bite the dust. I won’t accept it if she actually wins Saimoe.
If Kagami faces her next round, she need to bulldoze her with a steamroller. I am dead serious, if Fuko actually beats Kagami. Kyou’s sacrifice will be in VAIN.

Time for Miyako to go as well, Tomoyo’s fanbase in Japan is suprisingly strong. I mean, damn look at how many fake votes went to Kyou for christ sake.

With Saimoe hitting the climax, the other superior contest Saiyuri is going to start! It’ll be cool if you talk about that.
