Hyakko 02

Oh my god, Hyakko went from “mediocre” to “awesome” in this episode. It so feels like a grown up version of Ichigo Mashimaro. Is it pure coincidence or fate that Orikasa Fumiko does both Torako and Miu? They both are genius at eliciting the laughs. Orikasa Fumiko should be given roles like this every year just to have something to brighten the days up.

Anyways, they went overload with the sports references this episode, going from baseball (Mezase, Koushien!) to tennis (Mezase, Wimbledon!), basketball (Mezase, Madison Square Garden!), and soccer (Mezase, World Cup!); Torako hillariously referencing all the famous names associated with the sports they’re playing from Sharapova, Hingis to Ronaldinho and Magic-Something. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed this hard to sports jokes. Must be Torako’s charm. It’s hilarious how she manages to land hits on Tatsuki every time they play something.

Looks like I’m gonna enjoy this show for the Tatsuki – Torako dynamics and the laughs. This show might even be a keeper for me too. I need to recover from a busted gut now.

I felt exactly the same way… I read a bit of the manga before this episode aired and found it amusing, but animated it actually made me laugh quite a bit… I rarely laugh when I’m alone watching anime.

Ah, no volleyball?! FAIL! XD; But it’s Hyakko; it’s all good.

    Also… “Magic-something”; was that “Magic Johnson”? He’s a basketball player ^__^;; Semi-sports nut here.
