Negima! 227

Looks like the skirmish isn’t ending soon. Fine enough, since we’re getting a fair share of awesome fights.

Mahou Sensei Negima!

Kotarou gets his limelight finally. He’s vastly improved now with ninjutsu skills added in to his list of skills. Also, skirt flipping!! Has he been taking lessons from Racan as well?!

Mahou Sensei Negima!

Meanwhile, Setsuna has to deal with her own stalker battle-crazy kouhai, Tsukuyomi. Looks like Secchan liked that meido-kimono outfit she wore during Mahora-sai enough to add it in to her card.

Mahou Sensei Negima!

Asuna has to deal with more of Fate’s Angels.

Mahou Sensei Negima!

Back to Fate vs Negi, Negi’s still putting the pressure on to Fate quite nicely…

Mahou Sensei Negima!

…but inevitably, Fate still has the upper hand in terms of power and experience.

Mahou Sensei Negima!

Fortunately, he gets help in the form of Kotaro and Nodoka. Isn’t that dangerous to go so close to that guy, Kotarou?

Haha, I don’t know where they got the idea that “Fate” might possibly not be his real name, but wouldn’t Kotarou just have told Nodoka (if Fate is his real name)? lol They just wanted to make sure that he could hear her question :P

If I remember right it has something to do with how Nodoka’s artifact works with that enhancer on her finger (not about to go look it up either).

    I’m more curious what the point of Nodoka being able to read fate’s mind is going to be though oO;

kiryuu: She’d be able to ask anything. And if Fate can’t mask his thoughts well enough, then he’s an open book. They still don’t know his plans. They don’t know why he wants Asuna (can be assumed she’d be used for further protection). Why does he want to destroy, or “save,” the world? Who exactly is he? What is his connection with Nagi or the Ala Rubra? Of course, getting any single question across is bound to be dangerous or backfire, so she has to choose carefully. But really, she doesn’t need her finger thingy to enhance her abilities if she already has a name. I’m assuming either Kotarou never told her, or she had previously tried and got nothing on Fate Averruncus and believes that not to be his real name.

What’s with them and skirt flipping lol? I would prefer Kotarou used the wind pressure move in the World Tree Tournament.

    Serious Nodoka is cute

I’m loving Tsukuyomi’s orgasmic facial expressions. Yanderekko moe.

Also, Nodoka’s trick will probably end up being blocked, or Fate might disable her somehow. Her ability is broken plot-wise when used against the (current) main boss.

Princess… so let’s get to the part where Asuna starts bombarding Negi about why she’s being called the “Princess.” =D

I agree with Sage straight to the term – Nodoka’s ability is broken. There’s no way that winning against Fate could be that easy… and then there’s the whole thing about it possibly being an alias at that. Then, there’s the safety issue of Nodoka even being anywhere near Fate… seeing as how he barely missed impaling Setsuna, I don’t think Nodoka’s reactions could save her even if she could mind read it fast enough with her artifact.

…but then again, it’s a manga :D fun stuff, stories are.

I guess I’m late to the party, so late, that I’ve only recognized Fate’s sword just now. Or should I say… Berserker’s stone club…

Kotarou was just pure awesomeness in this chapter. I still wonder what Nodoka’s trying to do though… name crap.

I think there have been comments before in the manga that “Fate” is probably an alias.

And why Kotaro should know it? The were mercenaries for the third party, not friends or collegues.

    >Then, there’s the safety issue of Nodoka even being anywhere near Fate… seeing as how he barely missed impaling Setsuna, I don’t think Nodoka’s reactions could save her even if she could mind read it fast enough with her artifact.

And that’s what Kotaro is for. To remove her from danger when it’s needed.

Nodoka has already nailed it. The whole point of her magic ring is that as long as she points it at some one and asks “What is your name?”, the demon inhabitting the ring immediatelytells her the persons true name. So basically, even if Fate is an alias, by now, Nodoka would already have the the true name she needs to read his mind.

Really, go back to the chapters where she was captured by those bounty hunters. You can see the ring at work there.
