I´d love to see that screencap/image with Mylene choosing Basara as well Haesslich.

You do know she´d pick Basara. With her helping him against the Protodeviln and all. With Gamlin it feelt as if it was just something she had to do “he´s always saving me, now it´s my time to save him” as one thing.

Expect from the Triangle resolution this Episode had everything. They DID squeeze in a lot, among these EVERY song featured in the series expect Nijin (I think). I especially liked the references to the original Macross like Altos starting scene (after dropping off Ranka) and the “Deadalus Attack”.

Maybe we should be glad that they didn´t finish the Triangle in the last second – in the original Series they resolved the triangle (that didn´t exist from the beginning) over the last ~1/3rd of the episodes.

you mean the one where Bassara looks reluctant(while walking down the stairs with Mylene) and Gamlin crying on the side, with a whole bunch of other people doing various facial expressions?
weren’t that just a picture/poster for one of the ‘encore’ episodes?
