Well, Kouichi may appear to be an arrogant hardass, and probably mostly is that, but if you read a bit farther, you might find that he is a bit more than that, and either way, his mecha still kicks major ass, and the Verdant mecha and his factor is also majorly cool, with the way it and he fights.

Not really. There is much more to that shot than is let on.. I certainly was still surprised when I get to that point. :P

Context is a wonder thing. :X

On another note, thanks for the pointer Kurogane. was an interesting enough series to look through and I guess at least check out now even if it is gonzo ^^;

He somewhat redeems himself by becoming a “nice” guy in th later chapters, well it did cost him a very important thing. I don’t wanna spoil the others who haven’t read it yet so I’ll stop there. We’ll see if the anime will follow the GSD path or not, we’ll just see.

Just read the first volume and everything about him just reeks of Shinn-Asuka from GSD. Arrogant, over confident and a self proclaim righteous prick. Not even mentioning his first encounter with Mori, there isn’t any redeeming quality from what I’ve read. I at least hope he can mature throughtout the later volumes.

Lol, is that a bad thing?

Guess I should read up on the manga, premonition of a firestorm foretold. While I expect criticism I hope fan’s can think deeper rather than just point out external changes, in most cases it is a retelling of an alternative route arriving at the same conclusion.

“Character design by… wha?” Maybe it would be better if we just hope for Hisashi Hirai to retire sooner.
