I just hope Grace gloats to Ranka about killing everyone on Frontier the way Ranka killed the 117th, just to rub her nose in it and to see if she breaks. Or about killing Alto, and taunting her with ‘Oh, you came here for peace but now you’re killing your fellow humans, little Queen. Very, very good job.’.

I think I might have an Idea…dealing with the earring that Sheryl gave him…Maybe he folded before it exploded because of the fold crystal.

I just hope I’m not disappointed. 24 felt really rushed, but OMG I loved the SherylxAlto moment.

A comment about the scene with Alto’s Valkyrie exploding: If you notice, Brera’s shot didn’t directly hit the cockpit, and there were a few seconds before his Valkyrie actually exploded; more than enough time to eject, if that blast did indeed just barely miss him.

Just have watched it… Well, if they don’t trash common sense, then Alto is dead. Still, that’s something hard to believe as Michele’s death looked a way more impressive and he wasn’t the protagonist. Anyway, no matter how it turns out in the end, I would be satisfied with the series provided Ranka finally dies. Yes, she irritates me that much :)

@Jounin: That’s the thing. Alto doesn’t actually have the full picture of things, and he mostly only knows what Bilrer and Leon has revealed to him, which is mostly negative things about Ranka.

To be honest, if Alto’s death is truly final, then I actually feel that it would make for a memorable series at the least. But we’ll see. Who knows, Alto might actually escape because of the fold quartz earring.

Now that’ll be hax.

Whatever Alto was thinking during that scene, Sheryl might have thought that he truly loved Ranka instead (because of what she overheard) and was only being with her out of pity (because of her terminal illness) and didn’t want to risk hearing that or else she wouldn’t be able to sing.

And upon closer inspection of the scene where Alto shouts Ranka’s name and we see through the huge projection’s eye, it looks like Ranka might be held either on that Galaxy ship that is approaching the planet or Battle Galaxy that might be nearby. Right before we see a bound Ranka we see what looks like a bridge of a ship. I don’t know if Alto realizes that Ranka isn’t a tool of the Vajra but a tool for some other human because he seems to wrapped up in his anger to notice much.

so Grace chosen Sheryl to be her test subject maybe because she is Mao Nome’s granddaughter. If Sheryl is a real Nome then she would have some kind of power in her voice as well, like to control the bird human. Maybe Sheryl will summoned the bird human like Sara Nome did.

And now with having watched the ep I wonder what Ai did to Ranka, and how did Grace enter into Ranka´s mind?

Accusing her, showing her memories probably altered by Grace herself. If she is so intrested in the vajra fold quarz then it wouldn´t be no suprise to me if she made an experiment, got injuried in the process since she couldn´t controll it and BAAM, blame the whole thing on Ranka to get her to be more easy to controll. Along with having Brera under controll as well…

Rushed ending is rushed. But since this is Macross I have no doubt that Alto survived. You know the whole “no body = no death” thing. Yes I know it´s usually Sunrise who does that, but thinking back to macross 7 and Gamlin well…

Do you remember love is quite a perfect song for the occasion. Humans are filled with anger and the vajra is only fighting to defend their home. In regard this time around the humans are the aliens trying to exterminate the species that are natural to the planet to take over…

oh well. One last ep to go. Makes you wonder how they will patch this together.

@Magnius of the Chaos: I’m actually at the completely opposite end of the spectrum: I am waiting for this to end, so that I can be spoiled properly instead of drowning in tension and then I’ll watch the whole thing in one go. XD

R2 is what I’m watching consistently, but I’m catching up to Xam’d (great so far) and a couple of other things when I’m in the mood.
