Code Geass R2

Despite it being already spoiled to death, it’s still amazing how Geass manages to pull it off in such an epic way. I couldn’t stop myself from going “OH. SHIT.” when it happened. The expression on Lelouch’s face says it all, says it all…

An especially nice touch too by having Nunnally uttering the titular line in the final moments of the episode. Oh man, that sure did it.

I’ll just copy an awesome quote from Code Trainwreck here,

Lelouch is trolling Britannia and the UFN, Schneizel is trolling Lelouch, and we’re all being trolled by SunRise.

Evil Schneizel wwwwwwwwwwwww

Kira needs to show up in CG to stop Suzaku murdering those poor knightmares

    What can I say?

Nunnally showing up was just as expected, so no surprise there.

Very mixed feelings about the rest of it, but I can’t say much right now.

    And after looking forward to that dark skinned female Knight of Rounds and Monica finally go into action, Geass’ed Suzaku had them finished off with Bismarck (despite his Sharingan-like Geass) in no time. ;_;

Anyway, Kuro, I can understand you making a post after an episode has been aired, since you can argue that everyone must have at least watched the raws on youtube or niconico. OK, fair enough.

But you going out in your previous post to spoil about Nunally being alive from some magazine prior to the airing of this episode is just too much, man.

I didn’t say anything back then since I expected the twist itself to be predictable, but I still must protest about you blunting the surprise I experienced by nearly half. :(

Please, no matter how boring the twist is, just don’t spoil it. I’d prefer to reserve judgment of how boring a twist is for myself.

The intention to hold back has long evaporated from me sadly. I’m being surrounded by people who watch the episode live (well, me as well), so yeah.

Anyways, this it what’s fun in blogging about Geass, so… :).

I’d be extremely pissed off, had it not been for the facts that…

    1) I already knew about the Nunally being alive thing.
    2) I wasn’t spoiled on anything else in the episode.
    3) This is the only blog I read.
    4) It’s my own fault for going to this blog before watching the episode myself.

Well I’m only on season 1 and have pretty much gotten used to knowing something about probably half of the plot twists that occur in season 2 *shrug*

Take that all ye who said that Nunally is no more!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, but the thing with killing off characters and bringing them back has lost it’s meaning. It’s so overly used nowadays. It deprives the Character that died an honorable and memorable death.

    Well, what can I say?

It was the sole thing that could happen. The reason I want to know and want to watch is how Nunally and Sayoko goes from being basically in the middle of the explosion, with no way of getting out of the airplane to save themselves were saved.

Otherwise that Nunally would have survived was pretty obvious. You know the whole “no body the person aint dead” Sunrise thingy.

What more can I say? Didn´t get any better. Honestly I just want this show to end so I can start watching something else.

Are you KIDDING me? That episode was AWESOME even better then the others. Lelou’s a cold hearted b-atch, and Suzaku’s too sexy for his shirt. Nunnally earns the ‘WTF’ award for greatest supposed death EVER!!! You GO girl! Now if only Euphy were to come back as a zombie this anime would have everything!
Suits, fantasy, action, and zombies, come on three to one on the zombie idea – who’s betting?

Everyone knew that Nunnally was alive, just now I ask myself what will do Nunnally to attack Lelouch and Suzaku … I believe that the way in which Schneizel handles the situation will be interesting enough. On the other hand, it turns out a bit graceful that one of the rounds that appeared up to this episode has had alone 5 seconds of glory later to die to Suzaku’s hands … it was a bit disappointing to saying truth…

Okay, I already posted about this on Derailed by Derry, but I want to talk a little bit about how a Cowboy Bebop sequel would pan out if it followed Sunrise’s current pattern:

-Spike would get resurrected. He would then have to fight resurrected Julia, who would be in league with resurrected Vicious.
-He would also get a new ship every few episodes so that he could continue pwning everything.
-Spike would eventually stop pursuing Julia when him and vicious realize what their true love is: each other.

Stop bringing in Cowboy Bebop in to this. 90’s Sunrise != this Sunrise.

Cowboy Bebop is a show that’s ended. Let it stay that way, really.

As has already been stated, the shock factor at the end was lower than it would have been (though for some reason Euphie was the first female princess to go through my mind before it clicked?!).

Despite that great episode, and proof of how power truly can corrupt the mind. Lancelot Albion is clearly far too powerful and how those Knights of Rounds got toasted in seconds was perhaps too much, clearly they either wanted to show off the Albion’s uber-awesomeness or the lack of episodes left meant a drawn out battle was not possible.

The little Lelouch x Kallen scene was a nice touch, though I hated that emotionless attitude of him.

I of course fear a rush ending without some great revelations as this eventually will decide whether I will buy the series or not (hopefully blu-ray releases will find themselves in the UK soon).

“Cowboy Bebop is a show that’s ended. Let it stay that way, really.”

That was kind of my point. There are some things Sunrise should not be allowed to touch with a ten foot pole, and a lot of their old shows are one of them.

Doesn’t help that there’s always the crap about how the show could’ve been different if it was in the right time slot and such. Oh well.

    @ Magnius
I’m with you. I usually stay away from this blog until after I’ve watched particular episode(s), because simply scrolling down the screen will spoil me to hell… without me knowing it – so long as I don’t read it, look too hard, or it’s not the most obvious thing in the world, I think I’m okay. I managed to skirt by the TTGL final ep images because I had no idea WTF it was about, so I got really lucky there.

The detail is nice after you’ve watched the episodes though, just not before if you really want to be shocked, right? :D
