Kind of off topic but the comment about Lelouch not being able to geass Nunally made me wonder something. Since Nunally’s blindness and inability to walk is because of Charles geassing her, doesn’t that mean if Jeremiah used his geass canceler on her, all her memories would come back? (Plus her eyesight and legs)

But I really think Sunrise skimped on the explanation of Charles geassing Nunally for her ’safety’ because I have no idea how that makes sense…

Considering that there was obviously something “not right” with the original story of Marianne’s (physical) death and that C.C. had been talking to her mentally since season one (and this continued into R2)…honestly, if you didn’t expect something there, I don’t know what to say. I didn’t expect what actually happened, but I don’t count that as a “resurrection” either, for those reasons.

Even in Jeremiah’s case, it was made very clear that he ejected and was picked up by the Code R scientists in Stages 10-11. How is that “dying”? Then he became a cyborg and ended up in the middle of the sea with C.C., but that was hardly a confirmed “death” even in appearance . More like missing in action and unexplained escape.

Mao is the only case I would really complain about even right now. I don’t see why you say “twice”. He appeared to die in Stage 15 and was killed once and for all in Stage 16.

And kudos to Kurogane for using that title. If those Animenano/RSS weaboos who didn’t see this coming a million miles off or who obviously take this series more seriously than Sunrise themselves (who–hello!–wrote the synopsis in the first place) have a problem with it, screw ‘em!

Two thoughts.

Yes, Nunnally will be evilly unveiled as the evil mastermind behind Everything Evil. As I already predicted last season.

Five bucks says Nunnally is revealed to the audience and Lelouche within a minute or two of the end of the episode, as the obligatory end-of-episode twist. I swear they’ve got M Night Shyamalan over there writing this stuff.

There actually have been more deaths than surprise resurrections…

The only two characters in Geass who have been surprise resurrected, to my memory, are Nunnally and Jeremiah, and we never actually saw either of them die.

Sunrise…what a bunch of sell-out losers. Next you know they might make a Cowboy Bebop 2 with you-know-who resurrected. Oh well, I guess it’s not their fault fans are dumb enough to buy series in which nobody important ever dies.
