Hmmmm.... Very good observations you have there.

Thinking about it what you're saying does make sense. There's still a lot of unanswered questions and unfortunately I doubt all of them will be answered.

I also wonder why C.C. took Marianne to the ruins and sent her inside them in the first place since she had already decided against the plan. It seemed like Marianne and C.C. were buddies.

Maybe she was still undecided on the plan... she could have been contemplating whether to go through with it or not, and Lelouch confirmed with her that she didn't want to do it. All just speculation though.

I believe you're correct in saying the reason the plan wasn't carried out before the events in Season 1 is because they hand't found all of the ruins yet.

It does seem like the Emporer had his hand in this mess from the beginning. Perhaps he knew that C.C. would turn to Lelouch because he had a high probability of gaining full power of his Geass. However, in the first episode it certainly seems like it was by complete accident.

Also, if she had really been on the emperor's side, why would she be so elusive (she was on the run since the beginning of season one)? The fact that the emperor was trying to lure her out is testimony to her being uncooperative with the Ragnarok plan.

Thinking about it further, the Ragnarok Connection/Junction grand master plan was decided upon between Charles, Marianne, CC even before season one began. I found it very contradicting that they didn't had time to enact the plan then. It could be because the Ragnarok ruins around the world have not been discovered or secured yet though.

Another thing I do not understand. Was the events in Season one Stage one staged by the Emperor? Did the Emperor knew Lelouch could bring him CC? Or was it accidental? I kinda forgot what happened.

I watched that great-revelations-scene from episode 21 and it gave me the impression that CC had already given up on that plan for quite awhile already.

Remember episode 15?

When CC disengaged from relinquishing her code to Charles after hearing Lelouch's words about him being determined to make her smile? My opinion is that although she had just wanted to die to be freed from the agony of living, she had also wanted to be genuinely loved even before that. She believed that being loved would make her happy.

Shifting back to R2, having spent so much time with Lelouch, she gradually begins to understand that being loved wasn't what she was looking for- it was to love someone. I thought that this new-found objective of the heart was one of the biggest factors behind her decision to abandon Marianne and Charles' plans. And I so do not believe that she had simply decided within that short period of time in "C no sekai".

Because she was on the Emporer's side up until she heard Lelouch's ranting and decided that they only wanted it for themselves. The whole thing was a plot by the Emporer, Marianne, and CC.

Why did CC refrained from telling Lelouch the truth behind his mother and by extension, everything else for the whole of the show up until now? Especially since she has already reviewed her priorities about her objectives?

Has anyone thought about this?

I hope we get to know how much different this is from Taniguchi's original script.

<blockquote>Code Trainwreck begs to differ.

“Nunnally, who was thought to be dead, appears before Lelouch as an enemy. Lelouch clashes against Schneizel, who is manipulating Nunnally, over the skies of Mt. Fuji.”</blockquote>
And if Nunnally is alive, than Sayoko is also likely alive.

SayokoxJeremiah still lives! XD

I'm not sure if it is because I watched the first season all at once, but this season has been lackluster to me so far. At first I was fine with the first 3-5 episodes being played out the exact same way as the first season, but as soon as they started to add new content it just felt not as great as the first season or as exciting. The twists that usually came leaving me with such a "Holy! OMG!" moment in the first season were great but in this R2 its just alright. Most of the twists at the end of the episode were just "So so" to me.

This episode just really made me want to drop the show. I myself am not old but I feel like this is trying to cater to the "younger" or more easily pleased crowd, no offense to anyone this just my opinion >

Actually, I don't have too many complaints about the story and plot. I find it well enough to go along with. And I'm the guy who gave up on Prince of Tennis for not being realistic enough. Granted, I do have a feeling that it was somewhat rushed (Marianne appears for a few minutes before being whooshed off into nothingness) but all in all, it was a fine episode. Besides, the end bit with Lelouch taking control of the throne just like that was enough to make up for it. I really, really, REALLY love those moments.
