@Kefit: Would it be to much to ask for you to translate that for us as well? I’m actually quite interested to learn more about the rest of the cast, even as mundane as it is.

Regarding Isra: Her fate was definitely left vague, and I would’ve loved to know what actually happened to her. While she did a lot of wrong things, her love for Ruelle was undeniably strong. While I’d go with Kefit’s theory in a much more logical sense, I’d actually hope that she did survive.

I guess leaving Isra’s fate unknown adds a much more profound sense of loss for the readers. I’m miss having a new chapter of Happy World to read every morning now, lol.

Takeshita was intentionally vague regarding Isra’s fate, it seems. I’ve got a copy of Happy World End, a commerative doujin release compiled by Takeshita himself that contains, among other things, summaries of each chapter. In the entry for chapter 72 it mentions what almost all of the characters, even the incredibly unimportant ones, are doing with their lives after the final conflict. However, for Isra it only mentions the events that clearly transpired within the manga pages. In other words, I think the mangaka consciously chose to leave Isra’s fate up to the reader’s interpretation.

Personally, I think Isra died in the battle, probably using the last of her energy to expel Elle from the chaos so that at least she could survive. Her soul has entered the cycle of reincarnation and she will be born again at some point, just like Millael was. I like to think that she will be born as Takeshi and Elle’s next child :)

Considering how her final scenes were drawn, it seemed like she would do everything in her power (even sacrifice herself) to destroy the Shadowman. She may have sacrificed herself in the end and saved Elle.

Or…to be more optimistic; since we never saw Elle and Isra’s Armor Union, maybe they’re still combined. And Isra’s just dormant. Nell seemed to be the dominant consciousness in her Union with Ille. So maybe Elle has control of the body in the epilogue.

Although, I really do suspect that Isra sacrificed herself.

However, no one really knows for sure.

I just finished reading the whole series in onemanga from afternoo until now. All I can say is that the series is very nice. I had to agree that they rush the final pert of the story.

The funny part is the “make the baby” arc.
The serious part is the history.
