Sheryl is a strong lass I am sure she’ll be fine. Even if she is abandoned by Grace and has her career crushed by Ranka, her only friend in the fleet, Alto-hime, doesn’t come off as some guy who would turn down a friend in need. Sheryl is unemployed and hime just got a promotion, so as a guy who is always bending to Sheryl’s will, I am sure Sheryl will be able to mooch off Alto-hime until she can get back on her own too feet. However, I would like to know what happens between Mr. Bilrer and Alto-hime in their secret squirrel conversation at the superb zentran train set.

I am not so sure that Galaxy lost most of its escorts in battle, it remains possible that given the course of events that the whole attack on Galaxy was faked. No one seen or heard anything from them and in the vast depths of space it’s not too hard to hide a fleet that is radio silent. I don’t think Grace would be so wasteful of her own resources for such an important venture. Still what we have seen of the Galaxy Fleet still looks formidable considering they probably have quite a lot of VF-27s.

This was an amazing episode, with the sing-off being the best scene in the anime so far. It will be interesting to see where the show goes from here.

One thing about Macross that I never really understood is how they can leave these fleets to their own devices when such important things are happening to them. In Macross 7, the entire fate of the galaxy is in the hands of 7, yet the rest of UN Spacy could care less about helping out with the fights, and same with this show.

Incidentally, that big ship you were looking at? It’s the Galaxy, or at least was shown when they were talking about the Galaxy. I guess we know who’s involved with the Vajra now, and may have sacrificed everyone in her escort fleet to pull off The Plan.

Poor Alto, though – the wide-eyed look of fear, with the two demonnesses reflected in his eyes… classic.

Yay, more people than me that needs to have the subs. Damn I want those subs NOW!!

As I said, this was the worst and best ep of Macross Frontier so far. The good part is their singing duell. Man I loved that and my damn back froze when I started watching and hearing it.

Both girls showing their emotions so openly and all. That was freaking brilliant.

And now I want to see a special ep with the magazines talking about how some mysterious boy got a personal “live” concert from both of them :)
