Ah yes. I`ve watched this chapter. So good. But very cheesy at the end.
And hell yeah. I was laughing hard at Sunohara’s hair. But I think it suits moar like to him.

Kurogan i dont think there is a huge distinction between them at all. They are the exact same person but put into diffrent situations (considering the storyline).

Kyou is awesome in both the anime and the game.
Finished Kyou’s route yesterday and I like it A LOT.
I like it better than the other arcs because Kyou’s arc deals with real life issues.
The things that usually happens in relationships. Not fake ones.
There are lots of reasons why to love Kyou.

Anyway, Tomoyo is awesome. And I never knew that she was so moe.
But Kyou still remains my favorite. ^_^

I don’t care about the game Kyou, since I’ve never played CLANNAD (although I’ve read enough spoilers to know the story). My full allegiance is to the anime Kyou, and she’s more than awesome enough for me in it.

While I know they’re the same person, but there is a huge distinction between the anime version and the game/novel version.

Cant argue that kyou made the situation complicated. But she obviously didnt mean to, that dosent make her a bitch.

Yes thats another reason. But mainly because she didnt want to get closer to tomoya and make things worse for everyone.

Yes exactly, she needed to stop those rumours because it was bad for everyone. Bad for kyou because she actually does like him, bad for tomoya because he actually likes her (and the rumour is true they really did kiss), and bad for ryou because she is already starting to feel that kyou and tomoya should be together.

*Slaps* This was one of my faviouret arcs key has ever made! Not just becasue of kyou but because of the storyline being so down to earth and complicated!

Im starting to think you havent read kyous arc properly at all because half of what ur saying is totally misguided.

Kyou hate, in this blog post’s comments of all places? Not to steer more off topic here, but you guys hating on her need to read up on the updated translations for Kyou’s route. You may have misunderstood lots of stuff. On the other hand, if you know Japanese fairly well, please help out in correcting some of the possible errors in the Baka-Tsuki translation.

Anyway, the Tomoyo OVA was good. My only qualms with it is that they cut out all the fun parts, leaving only the emo stuff and lots of angst. There goes Tomoyo’s Perfect COmbo. Oh well, I guess it couldn’t be helped, no thanks to time constraints.

Seriously, I think you Kyou bashers need to give her a break. The choices she had to make were not easy ones, and I am pretty sure that she, Ryou or Tomoya could not predict the following outcome. It’s very easy to look at the situation from a bystander’s point of view and criticize what is wrong and right, but being a part of the actual conflict with emotions running high is a totally different story.

I do acknowledge that Kyou is insecure and she does not wish to be hurt, but I find that flaw makes her more real. So as pushing her feelings aside so that it won’t interfere with Ryou and Tomoya’s relationship was a very human reaction. I think many people can relate to her feelings and sympathize with her. I do not believe the three of them could have predicted the love triangle in the end.

@Flamestrike: I really think you’re overgeneralizing the whole thing in your first statement, and should not give out misleading information. In the visual novel, she did not “steal” Tomoya from Ryou. It was ultimately Tomoya’s decision on who he really liked. She pretended to be her twin sister to find out from his mouth who he wanted because Ryou ran away out of fear of the impending result.

@Kuruze: I found not misleading but conflicting information in what you said. In your statement of how Ryou did not make the situation “complicated”, I have to disrepute you on that. It is stated clearly in the novel that Ryou knew Kyou’s feelings about Tomoya from the beginning, but she asked Kyou to help her get closer with him.

Ah yes about the Tomoyo OVA, I enjoyed it immensely. Sure Tomoya acted emoish in the second half, but I found it justified since he had to make a hard decision. I can personally attest to how harmful rumors can be, enough to break a person. It was pretty much guaranteed that Tomoyo would have failed her goal if he continued to go out with her because of his reputation as a delinquent and their constant rule-breaking rendezvous. The snow scene was very pretty. =D

Haha, I don’t know why the discussion turns into whether Kyou is a nice character or not. LOL. Well, anyone who doesn’t Kyou. I apologize because I really like Kyou a lot. You guys can call me shallow because I never play the visual novel game. I just watched the TV series and read her summary in wikipedia. I won’t argue with you guys whether she is a good character or not because everyone has their own opinion. Beside I still haven’t play the game so I don’t think I can defend her honor since I still don’t have much knowledge as you guys.

Back to the Tomoyo OVA, I really like this OVA a lot. Even though, I prefer it to be longer like 2 or 3 episodes long. The block for the train thing was really nice symbolic for Tomoya beling alone at that moment. The snow moment at the end was just awesome. The only minor thing I prefer is that since this is Tomoyo chapter. I thought it will be better if they use Tomoyo after song as for the opening song. I mean they just use Clanad theme song where none of other characters appear but that’s just minor thing.
