Thanks for mentioning this Kurogane, picked it up as a result and just finished it now and it was really great.

I think the point of Chun Hyang not being human was merely Aji Tae's attempt to spawn doubt within Munsu's mind about whether he truely knew her and could trust in her or not. What Bang Ja said earlier (plus all the various parts about how people see what they want to and such) shows it wasn't just something tacked on to the story though, it just is that, to Munsu, it didn't matter, because she was his Sando regardless.

And yeah, having both your arms ripped off and still charging at someone to kick them in the balls. Munsu is the man!

The story was pretty damn cool, I loved it. One of my favourite comic series, be it Japanese, Korean or Western!

*spoiler warning*
I think the part about Sando being a fairy was abit far-fetched and pointless, since her non human heritage didn`t really have much of an impact or factor in at all. But this was only fully revealed in the gaiden, so it`s not that big of a matter.

As for Aji Tae, I think he was just a demon, the one that Hae Mosu released in his childhood.
Can`t be too sure, the chinese translation[CY one] that I read was a little dodgy at the final fight sequence.

Too bad Yeongsil died like that, he was so damn cool. The outburst was a little out of character too..

Hm... seems like gotta finish this(stopped reading this manga when the scans were still at vol. 7. I just couldn't take the time for it to be released back then. 3-4 chapters per 6 mo. I'm glad they finished it.)

Eh, I found Shin Amhengusa's ending to be pretty much satisfying, though possibly a bit confusing at the end, seeing as the new Amhengusa seemed to resemble Munsu. I don't think you're supposed to know exactly what Aji Tae is; that's kind of what makes him such the kickass villain. He's an evil enigma, and that's what matters... maybe?

The final battle was truly epic. So many of the awesome characters died; namely Eul Paso and Yeongsil. Suicidal explosion and catching Aji Tae off guard for the win.

... Huh. Upon reading the scans, I realize that Shin Amhengusa was translated from Japanese and not Korean. Then again, I guess Korean just doesn't go that well with English.

Still, it's probably easier for a Korean to read it, seeing as most of the characters are either from Korean history or Korean folklore. There's that enjoyable feeling you get when you recognize something and go, "hey, I know that!" in your mind and feel this pathetic and meager sense of achievement over a comic book. God, I feel so worthless. D8

Finally... Blade of the Phantom Master? WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH AMERICANS? BLADE OF THE PHANTOM MASTER? BLADE OF THE FUCKING PHANTOM MASTER? I'm in bloody despair. D8
