um… Megaroad 1 was 5200m long versus a Macross’ 1200m long and is not transformable. Thus, that’s not Megaroad 1.

Considering the introduction of Fold faults and their effect on space-time, I wouldn’t be surprised if Gallia IV turned out to be Earth after all. They introduced song energy in Macross 7 and Birdman in Macross Zero; nothing is too farfetched for this series.

It definitely looks like the Macross. The arms are ARMD carriers, and if you compare it to other images of Macross, it looks alike. If it weren’t for the fact that Macross 2 became Megaroad 1 and lost its transformation ability, I’d say this was Megaroad 1. Though, look at the shoulder prongs; they’re thinner than the ones on the Macross back on Earth, which are more Zentran like. And its head is larger than that of the original Macross.

Maybe it’s something dragged in from an alternate universe where the war didn’t end as well for humans? (Like Robotech? :))

That can’t be Macross. The original Macross is part of UN Spacy headquarters on Earth. It has to be another Macross type Supervision Army Destroyer ship.

For those who are shipping, I offer this thought: isn’t it more exciting when there’s a close race involved, rather than a blow-out whose ending was predictable from the very first second? Besides, this way we get to see her both at her best and her worst… which in the end should offer either some more character development, or at least some drama of the non-contrived sort.

I do wonder how she’ll take the news of the crash though…

This is what happens when you have a lot of men left alone at a base. Especially men addicted to deculture. They probably haven’t seen a woman in years and haven’t heard anything other than Minmay recording in a decade or five.

They’d have done the same for Sheryl I think. Though I think Sheryl would have added the second part of the Minmay Defense to the equation with Alto. The Misa tactic. Kissing on stage.

The lost SDF-2? Though it does look like a mix of the original crashed SDF-1 and the Macross Plus SDF-1. Since the humans altered the design…a lot, it can’t be a Supervision Army ship.
