Haruhi☆Star MAD

Frequent blog reader (and emailer) Skane pointed me to this awesome MAD of the Lucky Star OP performed by the Suzumiya Haruhi cast. The twist is, it’s all done in 3D, so the results are pretty quite awesome, since most of the actions have been rendered properly. I really salute the group behind this who did the MAD. Must’ve been quite the job to render the scenes.

Without further delay, please enjoy ^^.

Unbelievable, that’s probably the absolute best MAD I’ve ever seen, effects, 3D rendering, everything…

Still don’t like “Motteke! Sailor Fuku”, but I can’t discount the skill that went into this MAD. Props to the creators. KyoAni ought to hire them to help shorten the time we have to wait for Disappearance to be animated…

    Not bad at all.

Still…something about 3D CG (especially fan0made) videos just bugs me. Unless you spend a ton of time getting every little motion just right then it doesn’t seem natural at all and it just seems robotic. I guess I just personally like 2D more since it usually seems more fluid because of that

Is this really fan-made? I thought I heard it was official, as an extra feature to one of the Haruhi games….

I think its done by the ppl who made the PS2/PSP game cuz it looks like renders and models from it.

It must have taken a lot of work, but…I don’t know, I’m with Heero Yuy, 3D just looks “off” to me, kind of creepy almost. 2D FTW!

    Favourited! :D

It would be too hard to do if not in 3D.
