Shinshi Doumei Cross ends

Ah, it’s not really been long, but Shinshi Doumei Cross finally ended. I nearly fainted when the opening page of the chapter had Haine declaring “I will marry both Shizumasa and Takanari!” ^^;;. I think that’s gonna be really hard on both of them, Haine-chan.

In the end, Takanari gets Haine, and everything gets nicely resolved \o/. I’m happy for both of them, and it’s been really fun reading this manga throughout its run.

While I felt the ending arc was a bit rushed, and you could already see things coming a mile ahead, I’m glad to see the conclusion was nicely done, and everyone in the series gets a fair share of happiness. I especially felt happy for Ushio, and it was good to see Kusame and Komaki getting along, though I wished to see more of Kusame. Yes, it’s because both of them have long, beautiful hair :D.

Ah, I’ll end it here before I spoil the whole chapter. Looking forward to Arina-sensei’s next work after this.

Oh god, it finally ended. Time for me to pick it up again (I think I stopped reading at chapter 25 or something).

    Well, thanks for posting this!

Is this another shoujo series where the hot-headed, tsundere jackass who warms up to the girl gets her in the end instead of the nice, kind guy?

Coz if it is, I’m avoiding it like I’m avoiding Shounen Jump.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhmygosh. i JUST read the last chapter omgggg~!!! it’s over, it’s really over T-T awwww i love this series.
though yeah, i agree it was rushed, but awwww so good. i loved all the characters and will miss this series, but hoping to read arina-sensei’s next series ^^ hehe.
omg im so glad ushio had a happy ending, actually everyone did, but yeah, mostly ushio and we got to see senri without glasses, aww. i love arina’s works so, soooo much. the wording, the storylines, they’re all so meaninful and portray everything she wants through her amazing, beautiful art and choice of words.
they all are displayed throughout all her series, inc. this one which is so great and omg im just repeating myself and just in diff words, argh.
but, weird how haine marries BOTH in the end? LOL i prefer if she just stuck to takanari takanari. how awkward would it be to live with all three of them in the same house?! ROFL!! ever toya got a nice ending as haine promised aww :3
and and and, the relation to cindarella was pretty unique as well as cinderella is a normal fairytale and arina uses it to pull us deeper into her story and everything, ahhhh so good :3 will miss you heaps SDC~!

I’m sorry I thought that ending was awful. What the hell Touya ended up with some RANDOM girl?? Who the hell was she? Also so much for her ending up with Takanari, freaking Shizumasa comes back and it’s like a freaking harem again. LIke this is a shoujo manga you’re supposed to end up with ONE guy not both of them =_=; This is like one of her worst series. I’ve collected all of them and I’m glad I returned this one to book off blah.

Ahh, I feel the same as Hinano. Haine’s resolution to marry both of them, come on . That’s no normal girl, and that’s simply stupid. I won’t get into the cheesy dialogues, when I started reading up to chapter 30 I seriously didn’t notice, but then after reading Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, somehow I finished this and it’s really cheesy!

I thought it was an okay ending when Takanari/Haine happened, but when Shizumasa returned and Haine ran away after the brothers discuss who keeps her it was just…come on, isn’t Takanari who you love? I guess the last scene when it’s Takanari who whispers is meaningful, but I wish the haven’t done Haine such a perfect girl. Not even the father that raised her was in the ending as significant, and her biological father has totally erased the existence of the former one, which I found quite cruel along the way, somehow.
Ahh I wanted to know who Touya was with, guess it’s a random girl…I don’t mind that, but I think I crossed storylines with some other story where he was in love with someone who was in love with Takanari or something. Now I want to know which manga that was, waah.

Ushio got a nice ending, and I would have liked a Maguri/Mao together, even if we know they are, but still.
Ah well, being a girl makes me really dislike how Shizumasa says he won’t move on and will always love Haine…and how Haine is just too perfect.

Ah well, the art was still pretty.

    @Hinano, Ritsuka
toya didn’t end up with some random girl. she’s one of haine’s friends and at the back of vol 4, in an “extra”-like ch, you see toya interact with her – the shorter of haine’s friends likes him. well, actualy she confeses to him lol. and he kinda rejects her saying that “he will never marry” and she holds his hand and replies “is it okay if i stay in love with you?” and so yeah… i thought it was kinda sweet he gets with her in the end :]

Ahh, it is, I just totally confused manga, somehow.
Now it makes sense he got so cozy with her in just seconds haha.
