The producer is probably a big fan of that graphic novel. Zero has definitely got the spirit of V well: "Beneath this mask there is more than flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea, and ideas are bulletproof." Like V, Zero is a master tactician, a great subverter, and both are plotting the downfall of Britain(nia) in their various totalitarian forms.
