… orz. I knew the animation would be bad, but it looked… well, Ranka looks nothing like Ranka, but at least Sheryl’s face kept its definition… most of the time. That, and Luca’s hands are all over Alto during the ‘hime’ presentation, while Nanase and Mikhail merely point at him.

Now what did they sneak into Grace O’Connor’s coffee, or oil, or whatever she had that morning? I mean, that was a weird grin… although given last week’s intro, if that was Grace on the table,s he’s like the Major in having a full-body prosthesis.

OOOoooooohhhh!!! Doesn’t that 3rd picture just make you wanna just run up and give her a hug!

I think this is the first show ever that I like the cutesy character over the tsundere one…

I attribute this to the fact that Sheryl isn’t a real tsundere imo, since she’s more tsun-tsun and teasing, and her soft side isn’t really dere-dere so much as it is just….nicer than her normal self. Also, this is one of the few shows where I actually find the ‘cute’ girl to actually be cute. Just to give a little more frame of reference, take Fate/Stay Night for example. Rin Tohsaka was almost textbook tsundere, and Saber was….well, she had cute moments but wasn’t quite really cute in the genuine form. And in Lucky Star’s case Tsukasa was more ditzy/moe than really cute.

Yeah, it isn’t all that bad. It does get really awkward during scenes with a lot of movement, but hey this was outsourced to Thais, which are pretty new at this, I hear. At the least, Sheryl’s looks didn’t got fugly much.

Judging from the preview, it looks like a flashback to Mikhail’s past, with a bit of loli Klein Klan. Oooh I somehow sense dark past ala Macross Plus style!

“Bye Bye Sheryl” isn’t gonna happen for a while!

Now that Sheryl’s signed up for piloting courses, I wonder will we see her piloting a VF-25 herself… or better, a VB-6 LULZ.
