I’m not sure I recall a powerful message, other than that the power drain would’ve continued if there hadn’t been a baby’s cry. The subsequent message said that a baby’s cry would’ve been a sign of a healthy human society for them. If my memory serves correctly, so point being I think you’re thinking about something different.

As for “accepting other beings,” what part are you speaking of?

@blitwick: Granted, Vandread might’ve not been a totally perfect show, but when someone decides to come and harvest my balls to use it for themselves, I’m not going down without a fight!

In that sense, I kinda don’t see what do you mean by the show not “showing respect” to altered/non-human consciousness, especially when the said consciousness is all about killing us all and harvesting our body parts for their use!

I still think Bart’s episode was the best one in the series, but alot of other episodes were close enough to be called best as well :D

Ah yes, Vandread, definitely an interesting premise and good comedy, but the Broken Aesops kept piling up for me as time went on, and some of the main character’s actions really grated on me (Hibiki and Rabat especially).
