I feel that Gentlemen’s Alliance Cross is one of her best works yet :P

Ouch 35 USD for a single manga? That’s crazy :(

I actually first discovered Arina Tanemura when I ended up seeing Full Moon wo Sagashite ep1 on youtube through some random associated link. Liked it enough to decide to download the series, but eep it was like 4gb! Then I noticed the manga was a much smaller download so got that first while waiting for the anime :p It’s much darker in tone than I was expecting given ep1 of the anime, but I loved it all and found it really moving. (Much better than the anime adaptation which had a lot less impact imo – afaik they were run almost in parallel so that’s why they were pretty different) Thus I became an instant Arina Tanemura fan (and bought the entire english manga for thankfully a lot cheaper than 35dollars per volume), so when I saw GAC vol1 on amazon I gave it a try without hesitation and loved it too, Haine is such an awesome character and everyone else is great too. While I’ve felt the overall story to not be quite as awesome as Full Moon, I’ve definitely been enjoying it immensely. I’d be sad to hear it were ending, were it not for the awesome news that another series will be starting right away. I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next!

wow I never thought you were an Arina Tanemura fan kuro :3
well I’d have to agree with Hinano that FMoS is one of her best works, so it’s definitely something you don’t want to miss^^

@hypertoast: Ignore tj_han. That’s his way of trying to attract attention by looking like a male chauvinist pig. He actually loves all pink and fluffy things. And yes, the books aren’t taxed, but check the exchange rate between our Ringgit and US Dollar. Don’t you just hate exchange rates?

@Kurogane Shiroikaze: wow really? here in canada they only cost around $14 even with our insane tax rates.

Anyway, I’m sad that it’s coming to an end, as it is possibly my faovrite shoujo manga (manga freak here, I’ve read at least 200 series). The only Problem I have with it is that the eyes are a bit TOO big. Arina shouldn’t have made eyes bigger than they were in full moon. Can’t wait for the final chapter.

@Hinano: Because I’m buying the Viz books and they cost RM 34 each here. Try imagining paying USD 34.90 for each volume of manga and you’ll get the idea? English manga collecting here is a very, very expensive hobby.

Bah how could you not have finished Full Moon yet! It’s one of her best series!!
I kinda liked Shinshi Doumei Cross but I don’t think it’s that great of a series. Too much weird shit happening >> and too many traps and twins lol.

:O omg kurogan! i never knew you read this. yay, ureshii~ i love this series so much 8D but omg its going to end soon =[ i thought it would. this is her longest running series yeah?
haine must go with takanari or im going to cry T_T! its releasing so slowly here, i only have up to 4 in book form. bleh.
but yes, can’t wait till next chapter comes out. Does that mean next ch is the last one? O_O awww~ always loved arina tanemura’s works. her art is amazing. the hair and eyes, ahhhh you can see every detail its so … inspiring 8D!!
