Code Geass R2 05

Code Geass R2

Right, back to the post. Suzaku returns to school, and Lelouch tries to act as if he hasn’t gotten his memories back. But still, Suzaku doesn’t fully buy in to it, and decides to observe longer.

Millay throws another event to celebrate Suzaku’s return, going for another pizza record again. Gino and Anya, whom Suzaku asked to back him up, also get involved in it. Even C.C. and Kallen join in, mostly because C.C. wanted to come back for the pizza and her Cheese-kun doll and Kallen is forced to sneak in under kigurumi cover to bring her back. C.C.’s obsession with pizza is gonna be the downfall of her one day. Seriously.

A lot of shit happens, and C.C is nearly thrust in to the spotlight, no thanks to tomatoes (Guncannon, you reading this?). I’m pretty sure she’s gonna have some aversion to tomatoes now. Thanks to Lelouch’s quick thinking, he manages to keep things under wrap and Lelouch even gets to find out Viletta and Ohgi’s illicit relationship, and uses the fact to blackmail her since she can’t be Geass’ed again.

Later at night, Lelouch is on the rooftop, witnessing the dance party alone while wrapping up some business with Xingke, when he’s approached by Suzaku. He reveals his intention to become Knight of One and request for Area 11 to be his, as the special right awarded to the rank. He further surprises Lelouch when he’s calls up the next Governor-General of Area 11 and passes the phone to Lelouch… “Moshi, moshi? Onii-sama?! Onii-sama right? This is Nunally….”

Behind every successful man, lies a pizza-obsessed witch.

Code Geass R2

Some mecha action to keep this show in the mecha genre.

Code Geass R2

Gino is definitely homo.

Code Geass R2

Anya in her pilot suit. It looks like she’s exposing her belly.

I’m soooo joining the Swim Club.

Code Geass R2

Ugh… tomatoes.

Code Geass R2

Apparently, furries have a taste for Brittanian royal blood.

Code Geass R2

Yum~ yum~ Customary Kallen butt-shot.

Code Geass R2

Lelouch fails at physical activities.

Code Geass R2

Ugh, more tomatoes. C.C is so gonna hate tomatoes after this.

Code Geass R2

Anya’s actually jealous at Shirley’s ‘assets’; “Those needlessly big things… grrr”

Code Geass R2

Cheese-kun GET!

Code Geass R2

“Yes, this is Lelouch on the line.”

Code Geass R2

“Moshi moshi? Onii-sama?”

Code Geass R2

Right, let’s do it again… “I WA SHOKKU!!!”

Holy shit, I didn’t expect those spoilers floating around 4chan regarding this episode to be real. I’m kinda having a double SHOKKU thanks to that now.

Well, this will definitely throw a big wrench in to Lelouch’s work, with Nunally effectively held hostage as the Governor-General of Area 11. Damn it, that was a real nice twist written in there, and Lelouch will definitely have to take very drastic actions. Will he be able to rescue his sister and fulfill his pledges to the Order? Will he take the hard way and submit to Brittania? Whatever it is, his actions are definitely going to be very tied down with Nunally in that position. I’m really getting addicted to the drama high of Code Geass that Sunrise is dishing out every week now.

EXTRA: I couldn’t help but to include this in…

Code Geass R2

<@Guncannon> It looks as if Light just whispered to Lelouch that he wants to buttrape him with Nunally watching over the phone.

Nunnally becoming Governor-General is actually true?! BRICKS SHAT.

Holy mother of fuck, that thing was actually true? I shall never doubt the powers of 2chan again.

… And my Lord, that is an ungodly amount of tomatoes. TOMATOES EXIST ONLY TO SERVE AS SAUCE FOR PIZZA AND TO GARNISH HAMBURGERS.

    Holly Shit! What a twist… what a cliffhanger…. again.

So, Suzaku is moving his influences to get Area 11 to himself and Nunnally as Governor-General for it. The comedy part on this episode was hilarious; especially since Shirley was running on a swinsuit without gettign shy about it.

    20 % of the series is gone…

There goes his cover- if he responds, he’s dead. If he doesn’t… he hurts Nunnally. Good soap-opera type twist though… and isnt she a hostage of the Govenor-General? This also makes Suzaku look like a lolicon who happens to have a siscon fetish.

Man, u want him dead even more than ever, now… for a pure and siscon-free world.

    Is C.C. … cosplaying ToHeart?

Damn, the poor girl must be badly traumatized by anything tomato-related from now on. LOL Wonder if Pizza Hut provides tomato-free pizzas for her benefit?

If it wasn’t for your “shokku” screenshot, from the other screenshots, I would’ve thought Code Geass was a comedy show.

Still, you have to admit that it’s probably one of the best traps to use against Lulu.

If he denies knowing her, then he hurts Nunally’s feelings.

If he does answer, then Suzaku’s gonna get him.

My God, my respect for Suzaku went up when he talked about becoming the new Governor-General, then plummeted when Nunally was on the other side of the phone. Seriously, using Nunally as a trap? God damned fucker.

A plot twist with every episode. I wish Code Geass episodes were an hour long. No anime seems worth it after watching Code Geass. It’s like the Persona 3 of anime.

Wow. Just wow. Suzaku owns Lelouch a second time in 5 episode. First was taking Lelouch to the emperor, and now the Nunally thingy. Wow. Just wow. Seems like Suzaku isn’t stupid, like we were led to believe in R1.

Great episode. And great captions Kuro.

“C.C.’s obsession with pizza is gonna be the downfall of her one day. Seriously.”

She would probably be ok with that.

I didn’t think Milly was crazy. But maybe she really does love parties if she orders a truck full of tomatoes.

My favorite part was C.C. getting pushed by Lelouch and then the hijinks afterwards.
can someone elaborate on “I WA SHOKKU”. I’m not familiar

Jonathan: Oh but he’s stupid for pissing of Lelouch…. No I really, I see your point.

Magnius: “No anime seems worth it after watching Code Geass. It’s like the Persona 3 of anime.”

    I should play P3 then

My Suzaku respect went way up this episode. So he actually does have a plan and isn’t just yip-yapping the way I thought he was all this time. I guess between facing Lulu and losing Euphie he finally moved out of suicide mode and decided to do what he needed to do to reach his goals.

And it looks to me like he’s trying to give Lulu an out, as well. Not that that’s going to happen, but I respect the gesture. Especially considering what Lulu did to Euphie. He definitely did some nice maneuvering here.

On the other hand, Lulu is still building his forces. With the shear amount of backing Suzaku has (superior numbers, mechs, ace-pilots, supplies, ect) added with the psychological effect of having his sister on Suzaku’s side I expect to see Lulu come out swinging. This show is going to be freaking awesome.

Also, did anyone notice the wall right after the scene with the box? Notice the final cross wasn’t complete? Think this is foreshadowing?

  11. Heero Yuy Said,

Suzaku just made me lose any sense of me calling him morally a good guy. I mean, now he’s taking a hostage AND using her to forcefully make it so Lelouch remembers (or so he can’t act like he doesn’t remember)…..dang. Now I officially have no clue what’ll end up happening next episode.

    This is one wild ride!

  12. matt Said,

    May 5, 2008 @ 12:54 pm

the way i see this play out in my head is that lulu would act like he doesnt know who she is, but then play on the idea that he’s getting his memories back from hearing nunnallys voice, and then suzaku would be all wtf i was wrongz and get blamed for “reactivating” zero.

but i doubt that would happen, this week is gunna be ANOTHER long week for me -_- it felt like an eternity waiting for this ep.

C.C was probably happy to fall in the tomatoes; its the first taste of anything Pizza like since the start of the series.

!”He reveals his intention to become Knight of One and request for Area 11 to be his”.
Oh yeah, since the emperor will of course allow him to do what he likes with the area and Suzaku will not turn into some sort of paranoid, megalomaniacal dictator who crushes any people who try to go against him and his “justice”. Not at all. -_-.

    On a lighter note:

    Thx for the image, Kurogane!

So they made nunally the governer..WITHOUT the use of the emperor’s GEASS… i wonder on what kinda circumstances did nunally agree on….

Did nunally knew all along the lelouch was zero? Is Nunally cooperationg with suzaku to try to pull back lelouch to the “right” side?

would lelouch finally kill his own sister with his own hands?

omfg there’s so much question marks… CODE GEASS R2 FTW~!!!!!!

    >>The comedy part on this episode was hilarious; especially since Shirley was running on a swinsuit without getting shy about it.

Nothing to it I’ll say. Her club was running a swimsuit cafe anyways.

    >>There goes his cover- if he responds, he’s dead. If he doesn’t… he hurts Nunnally.

Yeah, Lelouch’s fucked. Well, the only way I can see him getting out of it is…

“Hello? hello??? I can’t hear you clearly, can you re-..oh it looks like the line got cut. Anyways I gtg handle some Student Council work, I’ll chat with ya later, Suzaku!” *dashes*

… though it would be such a cock-up if they did that.

    >>If it wasn’t for your “shokku” screenshot, from the other screenshots, I would’ve thought Code Geass was a comedy show.

    No harm thinking that.

    >>She would probably be ok with that.

Heh, if the Intelligence Bureau got wind of C.C.’s pizza obssession, their jobs would’ve be oh-so-much easier.

    >>Also, did anyone notice the wall right after the scene with the box? Notice the final cross wasn’t complete? Think this is foreshadowing?

Poor Graffiti-tan… I wonder if she survived all right?

    >>On a lighter note:

LOL Little Bo Peep! Lelou seriously fails at physical activities.

As for Suzaku’s actions. I think they were really a nice move on his part in order to test out the truth if Lelouch is still the fake one or back to the real one. And the most ironic thing that this can be partially attributed back to Lelouch when he gave Suzaku the command to “Live” and he definitely is “living” his life.

Before this, Suzaku was just like a kid who knew he did something wrong, but didn’t got punished for it and spends his life in guilt, hoping to achieve a honorable death. But after Lelouch “removed” this shackle, he has been truly a force of nature, in terms of the meteoric rise of his career and his ruthlessness, even going so far to aim for the dearest wish he has had all this while, changing Brittania from the inside out by attaining the rank of Knight of One and asking for the ownership of Area 11 to preserve it.

Anyways it will be interesting to see how Lelouch will try to block this bullet aimed squarely for him. Especially one that’s shot by his own best friend.

  16. Mona Said,

I was completely shocked when I saw Nunnally as the Governor-General. It was a brilliant move on Suzaku’s part, but pretty ruthless as well. Also, the entire student body minus the seitokai were removed and replaced. The seitokai had their memory modified as well, so the only ones who know that Nunnally is Lelouch’s sister, beside Lelouch and Suzaku, are Rolo, Karen, and C.C.

I wonder if Rolo will totally freak at seeing Nunnally, especially since he know that Lelouch knows. He might do something to her if Lelouch pays more attention to her than him.

It’s a shame that Lulu will have to hurt Nunnally in order to keep his cover.
I really wanna know why she agreed to it in the first place.

Can’t wait for next week’s episode!

And the little Bo-Peep thing was hilarious!!!

That, and is C.C. cosplaying as Multi from To Heart or as Evangeline from Negima?

Suzaku deserves to die, first he betrays his father, then he betrays Japan, and to further his little list of wrong doing in the name of “righteousness”, he sells LuLu to Britannia to be a Knight of the rounds, but no – no he HAD to take it to the next low eh? He just HAD to push the NUNNELLY button didn’t he? That egotistical, backstabbing, pond-scum!!!!!

He helps destroy LuLu, betrays his so-called ‘friend’ and then what? If LuLu hadn’t remembered who he was, what would Suzaku do once his goal is done? He can’t MAKE Lulu remember, and in doing this he hurts Nunnelly, that flying rat-bastard scum-sucking little prissy . . . . DANG IT I ran out of things to call him! He’s lower then pond-scum! He gives pond-scum a good name!
