Not being impressed? Where did you get that impression? I wouldn’t be sacrificing my meals to buy the DVD if I wasn’t impressed by it! XD.

I will be going to watch it in the local cinema. Definitely. This is one movie very well worth the ticket price.

You cannot be serious about not being impressed by it. Admittedly, character developments of the more minor characters were sacrificed, but I did not find the pace awkward in any way. Maybe it’s because it had been ages since I last saw it on TV when I was a young brat.

And you ought to have watched it in a cinema to get the “feel” of the series. In the control room scene, it feels as though the audience is IN the control room themselves. At first I was thinking of waiting for the DVD, but I thought I might as well watch this series properly for once (I never really followed Evangelion obsessively back then, and the TV station censoring a lot of stuff didn’t help), as well as being attracted by the promise of a new ending. I wonder if it’ll still end up with everyone being reduced to an ocean of goo?

As such, I think I may consider myself a “Born Again Evangelionist” (not to be confused with “Evangelist”, which is a US Bible-Belt dinosaur). :D
