I definitely recommend it. They didn't just rehash old footage, they actually redraw the animation, all of it coupled with some nice CG which wasn't available then. Without spoiling anything (not that there's much to spoil if you've seen episode 1-6), just "Operation Yashima" is worth the ticket price.
