I kept trying to capture the butt-shaking in SS form but it just wasn't good enough :(. too true that kanokon went from poorly animated romantic furry comedy to soft porn >_>.

Good to hear more assenting comments.

I do wonder if they will *try* to get some character development done in the later parts of the show, but nonetheless, it's pure fun all the way now.

This is perhaps the only comment section in all blogger-verse where I've heard positive and constructive comments on Kanokon. Kudos to you all for that.

I've followed this series since the light novels and must say that the anime is a good adaptation. It is not the most faithful to the chronology or with the deeper character development that happen in the novels and manga (although the characters are not that deep :P ). Sure, the level of H-ness is VERY high by today's standards, but I've seen jiggling assets on anime since the 70s and don't think this should start such a big moral debate. It's just a fun anime with echi +20.

It WOULD have been better for the sake of making a more faithful adaptation to spend more time on the characters, but I believe that is where other shows also fail. They do a half-assed job on both character development and good unadulterated fun. I mean, a budget can get you only so far.

Kanonon chooses to go one way and deliver fun and echi to the maximum of its capacity. And boy does it succeed.
