Hayate no Gotoku S1 ends

Hayate no Gotoku

Ahh~ so it finally ends. HnG has been a… unique show for me.

While admittedly it did not quite match up to my initial (high) expectations for it, but it somehow managed to evolve to gain an identity of its own, as the dominant gag anime of the year. Honestly, I did enjoy nearly all the episodes, and it’s one of the rare adaptations that I actually like despite the major deviations to the source material.

I find it also fitting they chose to end the first season with RADICAL DREAMERS, one of the more touching parts of the story in the manga. Isn’t it just cute Hayate did a Tokikake to the past in order to save the much younger Nagi. Ahh~ this was really one of the stronger pro-Nagi chapters in the series, considering the chapter came after Hinagiku got introduced in :P.

Anyways, I actually look forward to Season 2, and possibly another year of hijinks with the Sanzenin household and Co. More Hinagiku is ALWAYS welcome, right?

More Hinagiku is more than welcome, and a lot more Hinagiku would be even better.

No. I hope she dies. Hinagiku is a horrible character.

But I’m just bitter because all the doujin artists draw her for some reason, when Nagi is so much hotter.

What about Maria!? She’s a fresh 17 year old! I feel a bit better thinking about her. But Hinagiku-san is delicious.

Ah yes, Hayate no Gotoku. It’s always one of those things I enjoy watching; it’s nice and filled with gags and stuff, which makes for a relaxing show overall.

Technically, Hayate no Gotoku was 4-seasons long (the series even mentioned this at least a couple of times, making a joke about something that was supposed to happen in the 4th season and some characters that were supposed to get more screen time after the 3rd season). That aside, I liked the series, though I felt it dropped off in humor by the time the series ended.

Her seiyuu has done nothing of note. Rie Kugimiya on the other hand is… Rie Kugimiya. Nagi > Hina. Since wotaku are better than boring boring characters :V

Well, that marks the end of the first season. Like Kurogane-san, the anime didn’t really went out as what I expected to be x-x. Regardless, the 2nd season is something to look forward to :P. However, I’m quite captivated from the Manga’s side (Chapter 79) atm. Hope Hata-san continues with what he’s conspiring :P. More Hinagiku kthnx.

I feel that HnG started out really well… then it lost a bit of steam, especially with 52 episodes.
You can’t expect all 52 episodes to make you laugh and cry, though a good part of them did. And I’m not sure how they’ll pull off a second season, but I won’t complain. :)

By the time HnG started, it seemed it would be a great season for comedies, and it was indeed. However I was expecting HnG to be the best one, however other shows that started airing at the same time, like “Nagasarete Airantou” and mainly, “Seto no Hanayome” (one of the best comedy shows ever), proved to be far better. In review, HnG was very good, only it wasn’t as good as its competitors.

    PS. I also prefer Nagi-chan :)

It was a very nice show, though I agree that the third season (anime-original Kuzuha-arc) was the weakest, but still much more enjoyable and humorous then any other show of that time.
