Honey and Clover is my all time favorite anime.

I'm a bit of a Yamada fan too, but I found Mayama and Rika's story to be the most interesting.

Best series ever. I've seen it 3 times, and I still want to see it about over 9000x more.
Seriously, when I was brought to tears at that desperate confession of Yamada (YAMADA FANS REPRESENT) I thought that the series will be great.

When episode six arrived ... OH WOW. BEST. SERIES. OF. ALL. TIME.

Damn you, beautiful and uncliched scene. Damn you confession. That confession is the definitive standard of all anime confessions.

It's always a little frustrating when the characters won't give up on someone that obviously doesn't care as much about them...but people always do that and it does keep you watching the show to see what happens!

Honey & Clover is a truly unique show..
The anime gives me a feel that other animes doesn't..
Why? Maybe because H&C is more realistic..
And also, H&C has one of the best character developments..

*inserts bone-snapping sounds as someone who's over thirty tries to reach for a color too far*

I do think the show's best at showing how things change, and how people grow apart as time goes on, but the memories are what remain important - since everyone, or almost everyone, under the age of 25 that I've met doesn't seem to 'get' the show, but anyone who's been out a few years and gone through some of the stuff (especially when the budgets are stretched, and you've got the Lohrmeyer-style fetishes due to them) appreciate the show more.

My question is how many of us go Takemoto's road, versus Yamada's? Two very different answers to the same sort of question both ask themselves over the course of the series. And it's not like Nomiya's the only one to feel it's despicable to want someone to run into their arms... since Yamada was wishing for Mayama's obsession with Rika to be fruitless so he'd turn to her instead.

>Gotta thank my part-time job of reviewing manga to get me back in to the mood to watch it (just had to review the first volume of Hachikuro by Viz Media).

This couldn't be...? You're that guy who writes them manga reviews for The Star's newspaper's Sunday weeaboo section?

I guess Mayama’s right when he says that women turn more beautiful when they’re in love but men however….

Become stalkers, but dependable stalkers. :P
