I think Lelouch's father planned the whole thing about Lelouch's mother's death right from the start and made Lelouch hate him when Lelouch went to confront his mother's death with his father. Moreover, I have a feeling that Lelouch's father knew that someday C.C. will meet with Lelouch and get his Geass and go against him. I think maybe this has something to do about C.C. and V.V. origin and maybe Lelouch's father thought Lelouch was a smart kid fit to become the future Emperor so his father purposely did those horrible thing to him.

Anyways hopefully we get to find out more about Lelouch's father, reasons behind his mother's death and the origin of C.C. and V.V. and the myterious power called Geass.

I look forward to the unraveling of secrets in the second season!!!

Oh, those old people with their beards and whatnot, they are indeed magnificent.

Upon watching the ED, it seems like V.V. and the Emperor are connected. Maybe the old man has a Geass of his own or something.

But really, exactly what kind of weird shit is going on I have no idea. It's not simply Lelouch who seems to have forgotten his memories; Shirely seems to have forgotten that Lelouch is Zero and everybody just accepts Rollo as the younger brother. That, and Nunally seems to have vanished off the face of the Earth. It's like some kind of massive selective mind wipe.

Bloody hell, Episode 1 was epic. I couldn't stop myself from trembling while watching it through the whole episode. Only flaw is that it took a hell long time to download; both Torrent and mIRC were extremely slow, and I wouldn't have been able to watch it had it not been for a direct download link posted in the channel. Whoot.

Likely, they know who C.C. is. Also, seeing as how the special investigation team was granted 'special permission' from the Emperor, it suggests that the Emperor knows WHO Lulu is - both as Zero and Lelouch vi Britannia. Which is interesting, before my headache kicks in the last thought I have is that the Emperor is playing the entire world for fools in a game.

I think he was most likely captured, and then brainwashed to be used to lure out C.C.

Whoever caught him probably knows that he's Zero, and he's contracted to C.C. Since they never did caught C.C., then it's logical they kept him alive, only with fake memories, in order to lure out C.C. and the remnants of the Black Knights to capture them.

hmm @ Choas2: but Lelouch's geass can't be used twice on any one person. So its impossible for him to have used the geass on himself again

"Xellos: Yeah… you’re quite right too. It does mirror the part where Light wiped out his memories, but I don’t think Lelouch did it himself though."

Lelouch did wipe his own memories before though, remember? When saving his sister from Mao...

kiryuu: Yes! Yes! It looks positively awesome.

Avisch: Yes I got the HD raw (nearly 600MB in size lawl). The show is airing in HD anyways. I usually take screencaps with ffdshow's built in grab function.

great opening sets the story up fast. There was no "NOOO! What happens next?" cliffhanger which gave me a real good feeling that I wouldn't have to be confused.

And I was smiling throughout the whole episode. It's so cool that mostlhy everyone knows Zero=Lelouch.

Kurogane: did you download an HD raw? (the screenshots are very clean) Also what do you use for screenshots?
