Gundam 00 24

Gundam 00

Lockon T.T

Hah! I decided to watch raw this time. If people are gonna talk shit about about me spoiling, fine then, muahahaha!

In the aftermath of the battle last week, the Meisters and co. grieve for Lockon, eliciting the usual flashback scenes. Over at the UN side, they’ve suffered a number of losses themselves and Sergei plans to retreat, but the UN sends over some reinforcements to continue the battle.

Gundam 00

Pimpin’ gold mobile armor, yo!

Once the reinforcement arrives, in the form of a huge pimpin’ gold colored mobile armor (henceforth named “Gold” for the time being), also solar reactor powered and piloted by the now somewhat batshit insane Alejandro Corner, the UN force attacks. Ptolemaios suffers an initial blow from Gold’s particle beam, and the Meisters hurriedly scramble out to defend, with Exia taking front point, heading straight for Gold.

Kyrios and Nadleeh take defensive positions around Ptolemaios, but they both suffer attacks from Gold and the numbers of the GN-X’es. Nadleeh loses an arm and its legs to concentrated fire, even using the Trans-Am system, but Tieria manages to take down Patrick before he’s taken down himself. Kyrios, under Hallelujah (the batshit insane one), fares better, taking down a number of GN-X’es, but it still loses and arm and a leg thanks to Gold’s particle beam.

Ptolemaios suffers major casualties on the other hand, taking repeated blasts from Gold, losing it’s medical room in the process (poor doctor whose name I still don’t know). Sumeragi and Ian take u defensive positions in Dynames’ Assualt Container, and Feldt is tricked in to joining them by Christina.

One stray GN-X manages to get close enough to Ptolemaios, and shoots the cockpit, before Sumeragi manages to take it down. Lichty and Christina are both killed in action, but not before a sappy scene revealing that Lichty is half-machine and Christina declares her love for him.

Gundam 00

Bridge bunny #3 and #4 T.T

Back to Exia, Setsuna and Lasse’s tag team fails to punch a hole through Gold’s forcefield, so he decides to rush in directly using the Assault Container, but Gold uses built-in robotic arms to tear the thing apart, with Exia and Lasse (in the GN Arms) escaping in the nick of time. Angered, Exia rushes directly towards Gold.. with the objective of silencing it.

Gundam 00

You can almost see the emo facial contortions….

Overall, another somewhat-epic episode of Gundam 00, with quite a number of (insubstantial) deaths. Patrick gets pwned finally, and I’m somewhat happy to be rid of him. The poor bridge bunnies deaths was already set in concrete once I saw Sumeragi leaving her command post, and thanks to Christina’s quick thinking, Feldt was saved as well.

Alejandro’s Gold mobile armor is just… hax, seriously. It came out of nowhere too. It’s probably another Celestial Being experimental mobile armor he stole, since Sumeragi notes that it’s solar reactor operated, and it sure has quite a heck of one, seven, in fact.

Tieria’s fate is still left hanging, and for a moment there, I actually thought he was gonna die. But seriously, he kinda sucks at using Nadleeh, probably too used to Virtue’s huge ass armor. Isn’t the suit supposed to be a high mobility type? Hallelujah is still pretty much safe, since he can still fight, albeit w/o an arm and a leg.

All in all, the major battle next week is going to be Exia vs Gold. Will the final death toll grow even more?

So… any bets on who’s going to survive until the last episode?

Except Gundam-kun, who’s probably going to survive no matter what.

Feldt, Sumeragi and Ian, at the least (I hope). Don’t care much about Tieria or Hallelujah.

I want more GARham Aker, though.

It would be funny if Graham arrived with his tuned Overflag…. only to find out that there’s no Gundam left to fight

How did Tieria suck at using the Nadleeh? He took out 5 of the 12 remaining GN-Xs this ep, and only got damaged because he was blindsided by Goldie’s beam…

I am going to miss Patrick he died in the line of duty, and whoever killed Tearsy and Coward Christine deserves a medal. I despise how Sumeragi abandoned ship before the last of her crew. Not only is she stupid and incapable of fighting her way out of a piss soaked paper bag, but she can’t even be a good captain and go down with her ship.

I hope Ali comes back to screw with Setsuna one more time before this ends. Can’t believe Corner is racking up more kills that your GARham Aker how hasn’t shown up for battle yet. Precisely what they plan on having him do better be good, as it stands Aker is at risk of having Corner supplant him as Ace.

The mechanic dude didn’t die right? I didn’t see him in the death toll.
I’m also they won’t raise the death toll anymore Gurren Lagann was able to pull it off because it was almost finished but this still has a whole other season left and unless sunrise wants to pull out a almost completely new cast they won’t.
@T_I Said, ahahahaa xD if Graham arrived when the Gundams were there he would own them all I mean he’s ridiculously skilled

As for my guess of this seasons ending… I think it’ll be… a time skip or something I can’t think of any other way for CB to regain it’s momentum. I mean it lost most of it’s members all they have right now is mechanic, Sumeragi, Felt, Lasse, Setsuna, Tieria, Allelujah so a time skip then you know next season Setsuna will actually look like the 16 year old he is
My only question is where Nena and Saji will fit into this whole thing.

I guess everyone saw the RAW this time…

I wasn’t ready for more Celestial Being deaths, especially from the ones that didn’t pilot a Gundam, but this is war and everyone can die any minute. They lost his medical support, one hacker and one pilot; luckily for them Felt and their mechanic are still alive. Damn it, this is so fucking great.

Next week I bet Setsuna will defeat Alejandro, but… maybe one or both Tieria and Hallelujah will die.

tieria wont die.. his character story isnt develop yet. cant kill him. Hallelujah wont die too. Allejuyah will save his ass. Setsuna.. impossible..

Corner on the other hand.. fulfilled his role as the villain in season 1. the audiences are sick of his emo distortions. please die and may a greater villain appear, namely, Saji. muahahahha

    holy crud, PATRICK!

Aside that, CB stats is without their mothership, 1 pilot and half of the crew dead, and 3 Gundams already wrecked. It is almost sure the Exia will also take a serious beating from the MA of Alejandro and I suppose Graham will finally appear in his GN-Flag full of h4x.

WTF? There is GONNA be S2, right? I’m actually hoping for Neena doing the elevator drop lol

Lol I kinda like G00 now as well. Tieria is a shit pilot because he used Transam! Someone above mentioned him getting 5 frags but those were mainly via surprise attacks or transam activated. Hallelujah on the other hand didn’t use it and was on a rampage. I say screw the pacifist personality.

Anyway the stray GNX was kinda dumb, shooting at the cockpit instead of disarming the mothership first.

For a joke character, Patrick had outgrown his usefulness a long time ago ;p

Patrick, Dr. Moreno, Christina, and Lichtendahl deaths were there to remind us how fragile is human life and that you can die anytime in a battle, regardless of how good pilot/shooter you are. Even the crew members pay the price of freedom with their lives. Christina’s final beg to change the world remind us how a person’s will never fade away even in their last moments. This was a battle against the whole world; and now that only Setsuna can fight against Alejandro, we’ll see if his desire will be enough to claim victory for all those who died on this battle.

And I’ll damn SUNRISE if another cliffhanger like Code Geass takes place next week.

Face it… the cliffhanger is inevitable. It will go along the lines of Setsuna probably defeating Alejandro, but he’ll drift into space because Exia got totalled and exploded. And yes, I’m just making this up. ^_^

Anyone else felt bad when Christina died?

  14. Hei Said,

As long as the UNION doesn’t pull anymore crazy kamikaze flag pilots unless Graham joins in on the fun… I think all the gundams are going to stay INTACT for the most part at least and I don’t see how Saji can become a great villain… he’s too much of a … whipper snapper

The major-killings-near-end-of-season tradition is still maintained I guess (Those poor three girl pilots in SEED… I thought they’d make it… T_T) ^_^

This brings hope that Lockon is still alive. :P

First series where I adore all the characters and Sunrise kills off half of them. I felt -really- bad when Chris and Licht died…did anyone else cry?

I was totally in shock when Lockon died as it is, I was still hoping for him to suddenly appear this episode…no such luck…not that I was expecting it…but a person can hope anyway, right?

Then the Doctor died…and his death was sorta meh, since his character wasn’t built up that much…Then Chris and Licht! I actually had to pause to get a tissue…eek.

After that, I came to the conclusion that I’m masochistic because I decided to watch their scene again…how depressing.

Hopefully the deaths stop now…one more to go!

Well, lets face it.. That pimped-up gold mobile armour is just too L33T.. But Alejandro overconfidence will be his downfall.. Setsuna usually pwned those who opposed him..

And what’s with the so many death of the Ptolemaios ( even the doctor with no name )?? It’s not even half of the series and about 4 good people died already ( 1 primary and 2 secondary and the tertiary character a.k.a. the doctor.. )

But it’s good to know that the gundams are getting pwned.. I want it to be abit like Gundam Seed where they get new suits to replace their old ones.. Those old suits are becoming abit of an eyesore..

The last Episodes of Season one were too sad for me ;)

    My Idea for Season two
Aljandro becomes the Darth Vader of the Gundam 00 Universe.
UN and the Rest of CB will unite and kick his golden pimp moile to the ground XD

wow first time in a season where they dont give a second gundam….

and alejandro reminds me of way to many antagonists in the same position.

gundam epyon anyone? or gp-02? hell even damn tallgesse( i know theres alot more but i cant remember them). the leader of the opposite team always gets the over powered suit. and dies ultimatley with the same “why did i fail” ending either that a retribution kind of death.
