Just like Jeff Lawson, with each episode of CLANNAD nowadays, I find myself liking Nagisa more and more, and she truly has grown much as a character, endearing herself in my heart. I think the biggest strength of CLANNAD now is how KyoAni has tackled Nagisa as a character, and as Jeff says, she’s the first Key primary heroine to really feel like the primary heroine.

Another thing that I have to mention out, is how Yukine and Sunohara have both noticed Tomoya’s feelings and hesitation, and they both, in their own ways, are trying to help those two together. Sunohara especially, who might be a fool most of the time, but he still can be pretty sharp. He’s definitely got my vote as my wingman, if I ever have a chance to befriend him, heh heh.

Akio also reveals a traumatic incident in Nagisa’s past, where she almost lost her life. I truly admire both Akio and Sanae as parents, for giving up their careers for their only daughter. It truly takes a lot of love to do so, and even more so to hide the fact in order not to burden their daughter with it.

In any case… another 6 2 more episodes to go before the show wraps up, and I hope KyoAni will not disappoint us all. A box of tissues have already been prepared by my side, and it’d be nice if I didn’t waste it. ;)

How did Sanae make those things shine?

This reminds me of the Shinku Sunohara video.

Yukine teaches us all another charm to try.

Boy meets girl?

I hate it when they end the episode like that… it foreshadows so much things.

6 more episodes? Where’d you hear that? Last I heard, there’s only 2 more episodes left plus an omake episode featuring Sunohara’s cute sister Mei again. So only 22+1 for this first series.

It’s safe to assume a second series is expected, as there’s a huge chunk of story left untold.

For once Fuko’s post-arc appearance here isn’t annoying. LOL at the way Tomoya sent her off in his typical fashion.

The girl running in the OP IS Nagisa’s daughter.

Great episode. I know my decision to LOVE Nagisa from the start of the series is right. Nagisa FTW!
