Hellsing Ultimate 04

Hellsing Ultimate

Oh yes, it’s finally here. Oh fucking hell yes.

This episode covers mainly the unveiling of Millenium’s true identity, that of the Last Battalion of the Third Reich, lead by the insane Major. It follows further with his declaration of war to England and Hellsing, followed up by Rip van Winkle’s arc and ending finally with the Major’s infamous “I love war.” speech.

Screenies galore after the jump.

Oh god Tama-chan is otaku!

BAMBOO BLADE

Man, she’s just so cute when she goes all “kira☆~kira☆~”.

The new “dark” character looks interesting too though, not to mention she’s even more hardcore than Tama-chan on the Braver fanaticism.

Okawari 07

Minami-ke ~Okawari~

Oh yes, it’s meido Mako-chan!!!

More Mako-chan and Touma screentime! Valentine’s Day celebration in the Minami-verse!

Yes, it’s Valentine’s day and Haruka suggests the whole family to make chocolates to give out. Chiaki gladly joins in but Kana decides to be the receiver instead of the giver. Hijinks starts with Yoshida, Chiaki’s other friend, Mako-chan and Touma are invited to make together as well. Haruka-neesama asks Mako-chan who’ll the chocolate she’s making will be given too, but “her” idea of giving it to Haruka is shot down by Chiaki, so he’s forced to give it to himself. Kana, who has been stealing chocolate all day long, gets her just desserts when Chiaki makes a special version for her.

The next day, Fujioka eagerly expects a chocolate for him, thanks to Touma creating false hope for him the day before. Of course, Kana didn’t really made one for him, but he gets his wish granted at the end of the day anyways… even if it was chocolate meant for another guy and subsequently stolen by Kana. Chiaki gives her chocolate to Haruka, in her oh-so-cute “Haruka-neesama is the only one for me” way. Haruka shares her chocolates amongst the girls at school, with a special teddy chocolate for Chiaki as well. Hosaka…. actually baked a chocolate cake with a sculpture to give Haruka… citing that it’s his White Day gift…. which is a month away ^^;;;….

A more humorous episode this week, it marks a return to the more familiar Minami-ke we all fell in love with. Finally Mako-chan gets some deserved airtime, and “his” parts were easily the funniest of the episode. Too bad we didn’t really see much of Touma. Kana is back to the super-annoying self she was, and Haruka isn’t the Lord of Destruction Haruka anymore. Sure hope they go back to this comedy line of narrative :).

Gundam 00 19

Gundam 00

That line can so be taken out of context.

The calm before the storm episode. Exia, Virtue and Dynames face off with the Thrones, with Nadleeh revealing a hidden feature that allows him to control any unit linked to Veda, after stopping Eins and Zwei from doing that docking thing. I love that actually. Docking in the middle of a battle is really illogical. But Tieria should’ve let them dock and then activate that Trial Feature. Makes them an easier target. Anyways, the Thrones retreat, leaving a parting gift, Setsuna’s background and real name.

Setsuna’s real name turns out to be Sorun Ibrahim, which really doesn’t fully sound Arabic, but who am I to judge Sunrise’s naming sense? He was also part of the KP-something, who decided to suicide bomb Ireland for some reason, I suspect it’s the Irish love for alcohol since there’s no other reason why Ireland would be screwing up with the world’s oil export market, which took out Lockon’s entire family. This sparks a faceoff between Lockon and Setsuna, and I really expected better of Lockon, but it seems my expectations were too high. Long story short, he decides to trust in Setsuna after shooting off some hair. *rolls eyes*

As for Louise, okay I was wrong, she still has her legs working fine. God damn Sunrise plot armor. Anyways, she decides to split it off with Saji, because she’s going to be a burden and cue emotional flashbacks complete with insert songs. Just as they were gaining some brownie points… they had to spoil it so soon. Well, hopefully that’ll be the last we’ll be seeing of random Louise x Saji moments.

Saji’s sister also gets some headway in her investigation of “Lagna”, who turns out to be her boss. Meanwhile, a “rat” in CB contacts the three main powers and leads them to a base in Antartica, chockful of solar furnaces. I’m starting to think CB’s “eradicate war” ideal is to “let them kill each other after we stir them up with our technology”. I’m starting to envision an Last Exile-ish situation in the future with CB as “The Guild”, regulating battles between the three super powers.

Rosario+Vampire 07

Rosario+Vampire

Horrible episode. They speeded up Shirayuki’s appearance and totally raped the plot and story.

Yeah, I finally went to read the Rosario+Vampire manga, and I now totally understand why it’s popular and I have to admit, I’m hooked to it. But the anime adaptation people, as usual, just love to screw things up.

I will say though, while Rie Kugimiya isn’t exactly what I expected for Shirayuki’s role, I will say that she did play it pretty well, using a her lower and slower voice. Funny though, now she has played opposite ends of the spectrum, with her role as Shirayuki :D.

Shakugan no Shana II 18

Shana II

Making up for the lack of Valentine mood in the episode :P

More drama again, with Yuji losing himself in his “training”, with Margery even helping out now by teaching him to use jizaishiki. However Shana and Kazumi start to feel that Yuji is not himself ever since, not surprising as Yuji perceives himself as not human anymore and he already belongs to the other side.

Things come to a boiling point soon after Chigusa falls ill and Yuji decides to reject Yoshida’s meals and apologize for the trouble he’s caused. This brings the opposite effect instead, making both Yoshida and Shana angry. Soon thereafter… Yuji, on a walk, is confronted by a Tomogara sent by the Ball Masque.

Well… Yuji continues to be as dense as usual, even after the upheaval of the Seishuu Festival. Really, I’m surprised how he finally manages to notice something, yet manages to bungle it. Well… it’s not like he’s trying to be a bastard or something.

Quite shocked to see Chigusa-san collapsing though… she didn’t look too sick thankfully. I loved how Shana was worried sick about her and rushed to visit her, she was really cute when describing on how Wilhelmina nursed her when she was sick.

A Gaijin appears in BAMBOO BLADE!

BAMBOO BLADE

Wow, seriously. I didn’t see that coming. A gaijin character in BAMBOO BLADE, plus right off the bat, she clashes with MiyaMiya over Dan-kun, because she thinks he’s an armadillo while Miya Miya insists that he’s a pangolin. God, that was just LOL.

Interestingly, she uses a dual-blade style of kendo. Didn’t know those actually exist.

BAMBOO BLADE

Also, best “FUZAKERUNA!” from Sensei and Yuuji-kun in this episode. Yeah, I feel both your pain… being told something like that from Dan-kun. Tamaki’s father continues to be hilarious as usual.
