That chapter somehow reminds me of Unreal Tournament (Or Unreal Flash, for that matter)

As much as I ignore about Clannad, this wasn’t precisely a cup of tea for Kyoufans (This is Kurogane’s territory, not 4chan)… Oh, who do I fool? Kyou fans outright hate this chapter. I wanted moar Tomoyo Arc, but then again, this is Clannad, not a generic harem anime

You are free to make criticisms, but you must be prepared to have your opinion being mercilessly scrutinized if you don’t make yourself even slightly clear, and if you can’t accept that, tough luck. Stop trying to portray yourself as victims being persecuted.

I am not trying to stop anyone from hating anyone they want to hate or from voicing their opinions, but I wish for those who are doing so, to voice it out in a productive and respectable way, rather than crudely doing so.

My main annoyance with this people are how disrespectful they are of other people’s opinions and think they are the ones who are right. Also, how unprepared they are to face the backlash when it inevitably comes as well.

If you want to say negative things about a character, feel free, just be reminded that there are other people who feel exactly the same way that you are on the receiving end, and they will retaliate. Here’s a cliché but true saying to ponder on, “If you kill, you must be prepared to be killed as well.”

I did not, at any point in time during this discussion, declare that any other opinion than mine is ’senseless’. I just merely implied that yours is because well, you have not justified whatever you said.

Arguments which can appeal and be rationalised to both parties based on objective grounds as well as common reason and logic. Hence why I do not take personal taste into account, not until they are backed up with a discussion premise.

See, what YOU find boring, others might not find it as such. Personal opinion. I do not see any effort trying to explain WHY she’s boring, or even how. Your refusal to clarify your points merely proves that indeed, there is so far no justification for your bashing.

How is it justified? I see no explanation as to WHY you dislike her looks. You just do. Care to explain? Evidently not. Is it because her eyes are drawn too large? Is it because she has the twin strands of hair flouncing out? Gee man, explain. And besides, if you don’t like her looks, there are many others who do. From there out it’s a matter of personal taste, and again, if you are not willing to discuss or reason out your dislike, then there is no use.

No. But there certainly are personal guidelines, and it definitely helps your cause a lot if you would just explain, by those lines, WHY and HOW a character looks good or not. You have not done that so far, so how can you expect anyone to understand your justifications when there isn’t even any presented?

Cause they don’t bother explaining their personal taste. In your case, for example, you just waltz in, decry an anime character as hideous, flat and lousy, to the irk of people who like that character, and not bother to explain why. And if you cannot explain your own personal tastes, or at least present it in a discussive manner, then yes, you’re better off not posting ’senseless hate’.

I’m sorry but if you declare any argument that doesn’t resemble your opinion as “senseless”, then this is a rather pointless discussion. What are justified arguments in your opinion?

Where are your justifications, if they indeed are justifiable? Personal taste is hardly a justifiable reason nor a justification since you can’t expect everyone to have the same likes and dislikes, and since you already know how Kurogane doesn’t like senseless hating, you’re just asking for a “Nice Boat”-load of trouble. Do ‘terribly boring, looking stupid, having an annoying seiyuu and an annoying personality’ count as justifiable reasons? If so, those are mine.
