Gundam 00 18

Gundam 00

In all honesty, I have to admit this is a decent episode of Gundam 00. It actually managed to engender sympathy for Louise in me and rightly shows the injustice of war via the suffering of innocents. Seriously, Neena isn’t yandere, she’s freaking psycho. The fact that it’s Rie Kugimiya somewhat makes it more… frightening. Oh well, even Houko Kuwashima was in this kind of role before, so it’s not too surprising. But I’ll say, this is going to spawn a whole group of Kugimin character jokes…. imagine Shana in a Gundam.

But really, poor Louise finally gets a real role in the story, other than just being the bitchy girlfriend of wimp Saji. You have to admit, she really didn’t deserve having her whole clan wiped out, plus losing both legs and her left hand. I’m really thankful that they didn’t chicken out on the gruesomeness of war by letting her get away uninjured, or worse… dying (so that she’ll get naked “spiritual” cameos”).

It will be interesting to see how this will impact poor Saji, and possibly define his future role in the series. Or they could just forget about him and get along with the main storyline at last. I find it pretty much a flaw when the fate of a side character is way more interesting than the main characters of the series.

Her legs are fine. They are right there,

I don’t think so. While it’s covered… it’s still rather short. Plus she had a freaking concrete block falling on her. If she even survived that… she would be at least losing a few limbs… unless Sunrise pulls plot armor on her again.

Her lower legs are bent and to her left.

Leg bones are stronger than fingers or palms. She only lost one hand rather than the entire arm.

I still think she lost at least one leg. Maybe I’m just reading too much in to the scene or someone in the art department got their proportions wrong….

    Well, we’ll see next week.

Did you have to put that screen with the subtitles? Whilst I had expected something like that it was still a spoiler; knew I should have watched the ep last night. The normal text I can skip through without reading but that was hard to miss.

Uh, the fact that I posted about it means there are spoilers. I don’t see why you should be complaining about it.

Man, right now, i don’t give a shit about the main storyline ^^. I just want to know what will happen to Saji and Louise. Saji’s sister seems to be a potential target too for AEU ? CB ? If she dies, maybe Saji will be on a rampage against CB.

Really expecting for the new episode :|

I can’t wait for Shinn to go emo… I mean, Saiji. :D And yes, I think I commented on Rie Kugimiya’s character here – you think SHANA’S bad… well, Nena’s way, way worse. At least Shana doesn’t produce as much collateral damage.

Graham Acre also made this episode with his… ahem… ‘reappropriation’ of the other weapon, but I was hoping for more politics, less ‘everyone’s using Gundams, let’s see who wins’.

Grahm is a badass….. I like him, even if he is an apple pie scoffing, blond American sterotype.

For once, I’m actually rooting big time for Setsuna.

I used to think he was just another weird person that went loose on occasion, but this time I’m really behind him in hoping he kicks the trinity’s collective asses (especially the crazy girl; the older brother isn’t so bad but my guess is he’ll die first or else the annoying guy will).

That and Graham Acre had a cool moment when he damaged one of them.

Okay, I didn’t like her when she was all hyper but this?!! Nobody deserves this…She was better of dead me thinks…

I wanna go there and give her an eternity’s worth hug!

    Legs too!?! Arienaii!

Now that I look closely, they seem to end at the knees!!

Someone save her soul before she decides to meet her parents!

“Saji then get’s to some army and wish to seek revenge to the Meisters. Learning l33t skills and become an ace in no time. But eventualy failed, fallen and maybe killed in battle because he’s fighting a Gundam…”

I think this is how people guessed when it comes to Gundam

No no, Saji will be forced to pilot a prototype Gundam which is being transported by CB to their secret facility. The transport will come under attack by the Trinity, trying to prevent the power balance from tipping over, and Saji, coincidentally there at the time, searching for the truth behind the Gundams, will be handed over the activation code by CB Driver Guy #9278, telling him to at least save the prototype.

In the initial battle that ensues, Saji will manage to defeat the Thrones by a hair. From then on, he joins up with Setsuna and Lockon to defeat the Thrones and finally achieve peace.

“…the battles are raging brutally where Celestial Being fights the Trinity along with intefearance of the 3 world powers. Each sides wreck the hell out of each other and it effected the earth itself where the solar elevator rings are broken apart due to the battles and every piece of it drops down to earth in a Colony Drop-like situation. In the battle, Saji sacrifice himself so that the biggest debris of the solar elevator didn’t fall down to earth (where the fall course is at spain. near Louise’s hospital) together with his ‘prototype gundam’.

In the end… the only remaining characters survived is only Setsuna and the Ptolemaios crew where their ship is wreked… the rest of the character that fights on that battle died.”

I wish Tomino do gundam again…
