Long hair + wind = Love
<insert comment on show being beautiful>
Autumn is in full swing in the town. Shinichiro is at the tree where he met Noe at first, and she’s not there. Noe comes later and invites him for lunch, but declines that and Noe’s suggestion to walk home together, citing his dance practice. Surprisingly, Noe joins Hiromi for lunch instead, and even trades side dishes with her.
After school, Shinichiro bumps in to Hiromi and they both walk home together, which is spotted by Noe and Miyokichi. Miyokichi later gives the idea of knitting a sweater to Ai-chan when he tells her about it. Back to the couple, they both head for the ocean and have some light banter. Hiromi mentions the lunch with Noe but stops when she talks about her earlier request for him to introduce her to Noe. They both head home right after that, and get spotted walking together by Shinichiro’s mom. She warns Hiromi later to not be seen so close together with him, overheard by Shinichiro.
The next day, both Noe and Hiromi are in a lower spirits. Noe makes lunch again, but she doesn’t see Hiromi at the usual spot, while Hiromi herself is practicing basketball alone. Noe decides to go check out Shinichiro’s dance training with the bentou for him. Noe stops her from eating the tako wieners she made, because those are “food of lies”, instead she tells that he’ll be able to fly and abruptly licks his face to test his tears, making Shinichiro drop the bentou.
Later at night, Shinichro’s working on the picture book again, when he hears the sound of Jun’s scooter. He heads out to meet him, and Jun asks if he’s agreed. Shinichiro replies that people’s feelings aren’t that easy, but Jun says it’s not that big of a matter. This angers Shinichiro and he blurts out that if he goes out with Noe, Jun will go out with Hiromi. Surprisingly, Jun doesn’t know Hiromi, instead refers to her as Mugiha’s No.6, saying that’s she’s pretty cute, and heads off after that.
Shinichiro goes back in feeling irritated and complains about Jun’s selfishness. But he realizes something and decides to head for Hiromi’s room. Hiromi invites him in and comments that it’s the first time he has entered her room. Shinchiro tells him about Jun’s comment, but instead making her happy, Hiromi tells him that he’s too nosy. Shinichiro’s angered and he leaves her room. Afterwards, the same scene is replayed again, but only from Hiromi’s point of view, and she’s disappointed that he went to her room just to tell her that.
Shinichiro bumps to one of his household workers after that, who’s cleaning up the store room and he opens the box that was being carried to find his old picture books and photo albums inside it. Flipping through the albums, they notice some pictures where the one woman’s face has been cut out from it.
Another day passes again, and it’s raining after school. Shinichiro heads alone with Ai-chan’s stall, which is still closed, but Ai-chan reaches soon and opens it. Shinichiro spots a bag containing knitting tools and teases her about it. Ai-chan asks him to let her measure the sweater, and in the middle of it, Miyokichi comes. Shinichiro rises to open the door, but Ai-chan stops him from doing so.
Man, I really just can’t stop writing long summaries for this show.
The relationships are starting to intertwine around, with this episode and the three heroines each get their fair share of show time this week.
Noe seems to be discovering “jealousy”, evident when she makes the bentou of tako-wieners but stops Shinichiro from eating it. Her way of dealing with such feelings is really unique and innocent I’ll say. It really surprised me for a minute there though, when she plopped herself down beside Hiromi and started eating lunch with her. Hiromi’s face when Noe was about to take her tako wieners was just so funny. Coming to think of it, that’s why she made that much of tako-weiners for the following day lol. Noe licking Shinichiro’s face was another hard-to-forget scene too.
Ai-chan is still conflicted between her love for Shinichiro and Miyokichi’s feelings for her. It’s evident she’s making the sweater for Shinichiro, but it doesn’t seem like she’s being entirely honest about it yet. Looks like her path is going to be the most rockiest of all, torn by her own indecisiveness.
As for Hiromi, it must’ve been really sad for her to hear such a comment by Shinchiro, the first time he visits her room. Ah, why can’t Shinichiro realize her true feelings yet? There’s also still the ongoing mystery about her mother, who seems to be antagonized a lot by Shinichiro’s mother, to the extent of removing her faces from all the pictures they’ve taken together.
