Still, I love how Chiaki justified Fujioka's presence: "Nabe + Gathering + Family = Fujioka (who reminds Haruka of their father)"

voodoo: The faces are what bother me the most, along with some of the character redesigns. The jokes are pretty close at this point, after the misfire which was episode 1.

Man, I think I might pick up this series. Upon every new episode, Mako-chan's seems to be getting more and more addicted with his cross-dressing tendencies.

BTW, a bit off-topic, so bear with me. Kuro, despite your name, I notice you've hardly blogged the Tsubasa series. CLAMP has discarded BEE-TRAIN and went for Production IG, while still maintaining creative control, and boy has quality increased a lot. Tokyo Revelations 2 probably ranks high in CLAMP's all time twisters.

(Yaoi fangirls probably know more about CLAMP twisters than I do. )

Kuro: Given his name is 'Fuyuki', maybe we'll see a real 'winter' themed character there, since Touma isn't working out in quite the same way Chiaki hoped... as she's been shown up twice now (age, bust size) by the latter. And I don't think it's that Chiaki 'loves him', so much as that she finds him less annoying than everyone else Chiaki brings home as he's not a minion like Mako-chan or Makoto can be, nor is he as weird as everyone else that she brings back (Uchida being the proto-Kana, Yoshino being a bit of a ditz). He's the most normal of all of them, minus liking Kana... which is pretty much a death sentence that he's blissfully unaware of.

Of course, Haruka liking the boy's also a point in his favor, as was her comment that he was like their father... which means the 'annoying Kana' bit, combined with all of those good points, makes him pretty much the elder brother type that she'd want to hang around with.

Oh, and he pisses Kana off. Between him and the bear, she's set as far as twisting her sister's twin-tails.

@Haesslich: Yeah, I know that. Chiaki loves him a lot, enough to invite him along for the family outing back in Okawari 01 and the nabe party this time. I guess I should've worded it more correctly. Everyone seems to be in a correctional mode on me lately :P.

@Nemo_N: I did laugh to the episode, just not as hard as I did for 01 and 02. This episode was more laidback on the over-the-top humor than 01 and 02. Guess the neighbour is a anime-original character then. We'll see how he fits in the dynamics of the series :).

Also, the 'father figure' thing comes from Ep 3 of the LAST series, when Haruka mentioned to Kana that Fujioka reminded her of their father... which is why she ended up snuggling with him for a while, blissing out before Kana kicked Fujioka out of the apartment, thinking that he was trying to seduce her sisters into thinking he was harmless before striking.

That's probably why she invited him back - that, and if she has any inklings he was Santa, she'll feel comfortable with him.

Serious business Haruka? Is this the much-rumored return of Haruka-banchou?

Tune in next week... on Okawari. I seriously wish they'd tone down the fanservice, though... and removing Makoto's ban from the Minami household kinda removes the need for Mako-chan as well, more's th epity.
