Hayate in nekomimi meido-fuku

Hayate no Gotoku

This is why I awarded Hayate Moe-est Male of the Year. God damn, you just can’t beat that at all. Even Hinagiku went all red on seeing it, lol.

That aside, Hayate 39 might be the best gag episode since the start of the new cour for HnG. Nekomimi-meido + Gurren Lagaan + Dragonball + Saint Seiya is gonna be hard to top.

Eyecatches like this really help too…

That episode was awesome, it was an overwhelming barrage of action anime parodies and delicious Hayate trapness.

Yup, there is. The Superintendent was chanting “Elohim Essaim” in it.

Well, I only listed the major ones, too much minor ones to put down. At one point, there was even a Baccano! reference in it.

    Hinagiku is always win.

Which reminds me: you know what would be really nice for a change? The hero winding up not with whoever he happened to meet first (master or not) but the one he’d actually be the best fit with– and that includes age-appropriateness.

Despite all the “Hayate! / Ojousama!” stuff, and despite the whole history of their arc, there’s *still* more chemistry between Hayate & Hinagiku, or H & Maria for that matter, than there’s ever been with Nagi. It’s not really her fault: she’s still a kid. But it’s true for all that.

Just once I’d like a harem to break the way it’s supposed to, genre tropes be damned..

I repeat: Hinagiku is always win.

Episode 39 was seriously one of the best 24 minutes ever spent in front of my monitor. It’s going to be a hard one to top, but I’m hopeful!

You know, that last battle was more entertaining than most Gundam fights the past few years, and Mai-Otome plus Nanoha StrikerS put together. Damn, that’s depressing.

And mmm… Hina Battle Mode + Lolicon Kuzuha + Nishizawa in a Santa Suit. Pure Win.

I have to agree, this episode is going to be hard to top.

but I’m still loving the AT Field ref. in the previous episode. (Eva fan from way back)

Looking forward to the nest season.
