Playing Civilization with your beard.

Dennou Coil

Imagine playing nuke war on your own cheek.

I’m starting to fall in love with Dennou Coil more and more. There’s one episode where everyone actually plays Civilization with some weird living beard virus they all caught and it even progresses to nuclear and interplanetary wars.

God, imagine being the God of your own beard hairs. I can’t stop laughing over the sheer absurdity and ingenuity of this idea. Probably one of the best episodes so far yet.

I’m also catching up on Dennou Coil and that is probably the most awesome filler episode of the series. Not only was I laughing when they were trying so hard to intercept the missiles, I was also jealous of them for being able to play God, no matter how much of an epic failure they became.

My sister and I just finished watching Dennou Coil, I feel bad about waiting so long to catch this series.

That episode with the beards had me laughing so hard at the beginning but when it turned to interplanetary nuclear war I laughed at first but when it was driven home about the sheer stupidity of it – I felt despair and sadness.

For me this episode was probably the second best episode overall I saw this year (with Gurren Lagann #26 being the best).

Best episode in Denno Coil. I think the recap episode is actually good, but after that and the longneck episode it’s a rollercoaster to nowhere from there.
