I couldn't get myself to watch it past episode 8. T_T

I guess I'll get around to finishing it if the second season looks promising. I'm glad people like Kurogane review these things by the episode so I'll know if it's worth the time to watch the episodes myself. o_o

I actually prefer to wait for reviews of some shows/episodes before watching them. ^_^

I have mixed feelings about DCIISS since they mangled too much of Yoshiyuki's character this season for me to be able to enjoy another season of his immaturity. I hope Yume/Otome stories get a better treatnent. :)

I find it very unlikely that they will take any route other than Otome route in the end, but this being a Harem show, most likely progression would be Nanaka=>Yume=>Otome. Only way the studio can get fans back would be to have Nanaka be on the screen for the most of the first episode, and they need Yume to have some moment for the final showdown between Yume and Otome, similar to the showdown between Nemu and Sakura. Of course, they don't have to follow this old formula, and I do hope they would surprise us nicely here, but in DC2SS case, reusing of the old formula seems to be the one that makes most sense.
