Man, after the first couple of episodes of this show I was convinced this was some silly conventional harem show. Well I sure as hell was wrong, this show has plot twists on Mai-Hime levels. I was sure Asami was just your normal nice girl third point on the love triangle with Sana and Nanaka. Uh, apparently not, she’s actually a mentally unstable lesbian that’s hot for Shuri. Hoh boy, this show certainly came back with a vengeance after I dropped it around episode 5.

Thanks to 4chan I suppose the first half of this episode, but never expected that from Asami. Just brilliant; they manage to told us a good bunch of unanswered questions (small ones) still good ones for the story. Now that the twins are out of the picture, we can get back to Sana and Nanako. I guess Aoi-chan won’t get anything special inside the story,… I guess

For all you people who are wondering how the writers will twist up ‘ear cancer’ Aoi…they probably won’t. She’ll have a more mundane source of teen angst (if at all) like Hinako, who like her is a side character at best. Prediction.

Myself;Yourself turned brilliant with this episode. This series has totally broken off the High School drama normality I had been expecting from this type of series. The Hoshino-san twist was thoroughly unexpected (although now I get the twins part of the intro) and I’m guessing they have some other surprises in store for us…
On Aoi-chan, I find it really hard that they could twist her character so much as to depict her with a totally evil/psycho personality…yet they did a little of that with Asami….
This has become a series where I don’t really know WTF is going to happen. Makes it even more exciting to watch…

(out of series> Why can’t Shana II give us more shockers like this one? Is it so hard to make a good story out of already great written novels??)

Total curveball episode!!! And just when I thought MY could only serve us the slightly more ‘generic’ twists (psycho grandma and Sana’s wristwatch) they throw this at us. I’d like to say Asami’s twist was absolutely brilliant, but they probably needed a surprising way to cut her out of the picture to leave way for Sana and Nanaka, and it really seemed too out of the blue for it to have been planned beforehand – probably a sudden last minute surge of inspiration on the scriptwriters’ part?

I was think about starting the series (around 8 pm here, it’s 4am now), since I am a total sucker for drama/ slice of life. And damn, this is certainly unexpected. That girl, never expected her to be so bi-polar…

anyways, I hope we can get more tsun nanaka next.

The ending of that ep made me rethink if they ever had any cell phones during this series. Couldn’t Sana just have called Shuusuke? I guess they don’t have any cell phones.

Great screencaps. That first one of Hoshino practically achieves an impossible mix of cute and eerie. I’ve no idea how to react to that. Should I hug her? What if she stabs me? But that cute little face so scrunched up…

And another crushing mix of emotions when we find out she was in love with Shuri. Why did she have to get turned down .. but why did it end up so bad..?! =(

Add in Shuu’s tears as well at the end, and you’ve a particularly moving episode. I’m just shocked. Never would have expected this from episode one.

But don’t get me wrong; this is -good-. I don’t care if the story is forced in some parts in other eps; just how it all comes together like this is amazing. I’m happy Hinako doesn’t have to get so involved in all these emotions. x.x

And Aoi, yeah … what’s in store there… And we still don’t know what the watch/wrist deal is.
