Myself;Yourself 10

The show finally starts to get serious about the ongoing plot threads.

Syuu and Syuuri visit their mother’s grave on her death anniversary, and take their time going back after that, having dinner and visiting a fancy shop. Their happiness does not last long as later at school, the principal summons them on receiving an anonymous letter stating they both went to a love hotel on that same day. They both try to explain themselves, but the vice-principal doesn’t believe it and it’s only the efforts of Yuzuki-sensei, that they’re both let off the hook but the principal still decides to inform their parents about it.

Back home, the twin’s asshole of a father flies in a rage, angry that such a scandal surfacing right before the elections. (Man, that’s why I really hate politicians.) Even at school the next day, the news of the letter somehow leaks out and of course, Syuusuke is angered, but Sana manages to restrain him.

Trying to cheer Syuuri up, Sana and Hoshino invite her to go along to visit Kaji-san, who’s fallen ill. During the visit, Syuuri tries to peel some apples, but cuts her finger in the process, and Sana freezes up over seeing the blood on the knife Syuuri was using. He excuses himself, with Hoshino-san going after him, leaving Syuuri alone with Kaji-san. Kaji-san asks Syuuri about the legend of the twin hills, and starts to reveal that she was trying to make a wish for her granddaughter to be revived and sacrificed a bird, followed by a cat to try to make the elder sister hill’s sakura bloom, but it seems she’ll need a real human sacrifice and tries to attack Syuuri.

Sana and Hoshino return at that point, and seeing Syuuri in danger, Hoshino jumps in and gets stabbed, in place of Syuuri. Luckily, being in a hospital, she receives immediate medical attention and is saved. Upon returning home, Syuuri’s asshole of a father decides to transfer her to London, in a public school, due to the letter scandal and now her being involved in a criminal case. Syuuri objects but her father doesnt care and she runs back to her room, crying. Syuusuke enters her room to find her crying. Upon hearing on their father’s decision, he decides to run away from home with Syuuri…

Yay, no more stupid incongruent scenes this episode. As expected, this was mainly a Wakatsuki twins episode, although we also got hints on Sana’s trauma. I’m really leaning towards “attempted suicide” for the cause of his trauma now. Shockingly though, was how they resolved the mystery of Kaji-san and Hoshino-san getting stabbed to protect Syuuri. That was kinda dramatic and unexpected.

And back on to the Wakatsuki twins story… yeah I’m already hearing whispers of “twincest” all round, but their feelings are rather more purely about each other than serious romantic love. God I really hate their father, and who’s that bloody stupid enough to believe an anonymous letter with that kind of contents. Well, this will be interesting now that they’ve decided to run away from home, and the next episode seems to mostly deal with them saying goodbyes and such on.

The father’s an ass. Caring only about himself. As for Shuri and Shuu.. well, I think there is a hint that they’re aware that their excellent relationship isn’t quite so normal for typical siblings. Of course it’s forged through pain/hardship but even if romantic love develops, I don’t blame them…. of course I don’t blame them! This is the siscon I’ve been waiting all season! MWAHAHAHA! XD

Twincest…yummy. Why do they go all the way to a love hotel when they have the comfort and privacy of their HOME? FOR FREE? OK, just give the dad a room in a love hotel instead. He could very well use a Turkish bath there while waiting for his foreign hostesses that may be caught in the long fingerprinting queue at the airport….wwwwwwwww

Not another School Days thing….what’s with black blood these days??

    kuro, this is Japan.

where schools care more about appearance then fact.

We see stuff like this form in the States too form Elite Private Schools and Colleges who wants to buried any kind of scandel, instead tackling the problem.

    And Twincest FTW

Schools may care about reputation. However, I doubt anyone would take an -anonymous- letter seriously, unless there’s some other kind of irrefutable proof (i.e. faculty witnessing something to support it). Hell, I could easily walk to the nearest high school or college and submit fake rumors about a random student.

In short, this is just a plot device you have to buy.

Don’t worry, it seems like the black-blood is a rule now. Even in Bleach they used it this week. What’s wrong with you japanese people, you could see red blood everywhere. Damn it!

Yeah, I hope it doesn’t turn out like School Days. (even tho I didn’t watch all of it… just first 3 episodes and ending got spoiled by my friend)

Yeah like what Syaoran Li said. They made it a law that they must make the blood black for public view. O_O

But hopefully things does not get messy, if you know what I mean.

    Shuu +GAR points

Twincest, ftw. But seriously, I do envy the bond that they have. The kind where you can finish the other’s sentences and just sense the other’s feelings. That strange sibling thing. And the familial thing goes past romance.

    ….but the twincest thing is just so much more fun. >_>;;;

Boo on the School Days effect. Hoshino-san levels up, though, for saving somebody. And I really hope we don’t see Kaji-san anymore.

Well, for some reasons, at the begining of the season when I looked at the cover picture of myself;yourself, the character design of Hoshino, for example, reminded me of the one in School Days, in some kind of way.

Putting that aside: I think there was a real reason for that anonymous letter to be sent in; because, there was this little where Syuu’s and Syuri’s new mother is drinking with some collegue from job and afterwards, is going to a love hotel with said collegue. This collegue strongly resembles Syuu and, if I heard correctly, even the same voice actor was used for this person.
So, if someone sees this person going into a love hotel, he can be mistaken as Syuu. As for Syuri, you may mistake her because it was late at night and dark or whatever…

@Mike: I read a book about far-east countries and in this book, it was said that Japan’s love hotels barely have and need any workers. You can see a picture of each room and pick the one you like (so you don’t need to order). And afterwards, you pay to a machine which calculate the costs from the time spent in the room…
So, there can hardly be any proof of them going into the love hotel.

Lastly: Normally, if someone attempted to murder someone, he or she is being arrested for attempted murder and if not, then he or she will be strongly watched from that moment on.
    I don’t expect Kaji-san to appear again.

-.-‘ Why do my posts always turn out so long -.-‘

Anyways, I forgot to mention that the blood in Ep03 was still red. But at that time, the Axe-kun/-tan and whatever there was already occured. So basicly, they should have already changed the blood to black back then, because this way, it doesn’t seem to make sense unless it really will turn out to be splatter (my brother hopes so for the last two or three weeks…)
