It is sad Sketchbook wasn't even mentioned. It is my favorite show this season. It is a nice slice of life with a group of very interesting characters.

> I agree about Clannad — while the humor is great, the fact that it’s in there keeps me ...

This is one of the reasons I'm not liking Clannad that much. Humour in a Key work is like romance in a Sunrise show. It just doesn't fit, and you know that eventually it'll go away and they'll get back to what they're best at. Which in this case is serious emotional traumage. So even if there are jokes, and maybe even funny jokes, I have a hard time believing it.

Things have been looking up, however. (I'm on the widescreen delay and have only seen up to ep 5) And there's still a lot of time for things to get better. (Unlike Da Capo which will end soon and is guaranteed to fail over 0.500)

As it stands now, though, Clannad barely makes my top 5. KimiKiss is a better romance, Blue Drop is a better drama, Ninomiya-kun and Genshiken are better comedies. And as lauded as KyoAni is, it only ties with Blue Drop for animation quality second to Sketchbook.

Dunno, I just don't feel like watching it. Yes I know there's a lot of Moyashimon fans, but it's personal thing that I don't choose to watch it.

@Author: "off-tangent" is a oft-used expression. I didn't made it up.

@Crisu: Probably not going to watch Kodomo no Jikan anytime soon. I'm content to follow the manga.

@Kurogane: I understand. There're some good shows that aren't for me as well (Kaiji, for example). I'm curious though, what turned you off on Moyashimon?

The hybrid of "on tangent" and "off topic" was cute. English is so maleable.

About 70% of the shows of this season are turd, only Higurashi Kai, ef, and Clannad are worth watching for me. If Shana II goes on with the same crap of episodes 2 - 7 I'll also stop watching it...

I agree about Clannad -- while the humor is great, the fact that it's in there keeps me out of BAWWWing range when the sad scenes come. Now if ep9 has zero humor in it and is just all about the story, then I'll likely cry.

Kind of like there's a threshold X at which I start crying. Clannad provides Y amounts of BAWWage, such that Y > X. However, there is a humor element H that results in X > (Y - H), so I don't cry. o.o H, therefore must be significantly small.

Anyway, I agree you should add Moyashimon. And I assume you're putting Kodomo no Jikan on hold until the DVDs because of the TV censorship.

@Pinnacle: I'm still watching HiguKai. Happy that Hanyuu is getting developed more. (And she has an awesome image song to boot.)
