Shana II 07

Entertaining, yes, but they screwed up Ike’s character and stripped him of his coolness.
Nothing else to say….

Nanasaki arc ends. Cute, but the drama was kind of bland. Next up, sexhair. #amagamiss

Ike… was cool? When was this!?
I suppose if you’re using Yuji as a comparison though, anyone’s cool…

Amusing though this “filler” may be, it felt like another episode wasted. This is better off as a one-off special OVA.
Next episode we’ll be seeing Margery Crusade in 1920s New York. I wonder if the novels have mentioned about her past yet? But at least this is an attempt to give Margery some backstory if the novels haven’t touched on that yet.
Since Takahashi Yashiro himself is technically also a producer in name (seen in OP credits, not just as “Series Author”, but really “Producer”), he might have some input in this.

WTF was this episode? Shana wasn’t jealous even once and not angry either.
Even more… connection with previous episodes very very weak.
I hope this show will start soon =/

I think Ike already lost his coolness in the OVA episode when he spent half the episode throwing up in the bus and the other half getting knocked unconscious by pillows. That was the funniest part of the OVA for me, so I’m looking forward to seeing ep 7 now, if they’re not going to have any action or drama at least they owe me some laughs…

I know this is off-topic, but Kuro! Time to post your blog of the latest Clannad ep, man! lol

You know this show is going to hell when the words “Torch”, “Mystes”, “Tomogara”, “Reiji Maigo”, “Flame Haze” or “FUUZETSU!” haven’t been mentioned since the third episode.
I wonder how this show would fare in the hands of another studio, say, Kyoto.

@Kaisos: Shana Second KyoAni version- It would be filled with moe inducing Flame Haze, uplifting background yet saad story, Yuuji wouldn’t be a spineless donkan and it would end in a bittersweet yet touching finale….Not that ALL KyoAni shows are like this, but the Key trilogy (Air, Kanon, Clannad) comes to mind with this “emotion” filled episodes :S
Seriosly though, if this season doesn’t do an AMAZING comeback fast, it will loose fans en masse.
