When looking at that first screencap, I thought Nanaka was holding a case of razor blades instead of a ruler...

This episode gave me some weird Higurashi vibes. Especially the scene where Nanaka is going to tell Sana she would like the yeti plushie, but he ends up giving it to Hinako... Will Nanaka turn into a crazy torturer and murderer, like a well known green-haired twin?

I'm surprised that no one's been trying to read the clues here. It seems that Kaji-san may believe in those rumors. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems that she was half-way expecting her grand-daughter to return...and dirt covered hands, as if just burying something, or someone! That defenitely creeped me out, coming to that conclusion. We'll just have to see if I'm right...

Whoa Nanaka is an awesome Tsundere, unlike some idiots (Narusegawa *cough cough*) she accualy listens to people's explinations as opposed to exploding. Sana isn't half bad either. Not that many harem leads would acknowlage their mistakes when it comes to mood and touchy subjects. Yuji would probley be all "Huh? Is something wrong??????". Hell some of them don't even know that it's bad to grope girls and totaly disregard their feelings. (You should beable to tell who I'm refering too)

>> K_S_
Thanks to you I have watched again the OP sequence and saw that man on teh falmes, but he resembles Nanako's uncle. Long hair, possible gray; and when Nanako closed the door, he sounded a bit dissapointed... just a theory.

>>this is the first episode where Sana’s mother didn’t call him…
Omg its true!

And its nice that Nanaka got so much screen time in this episode, guess this makes up for not having any lines to say in the last episode.

I think it would be amusing if he was never actually talking to his mother. What if he was just talking with no one on the other end and his parents were dead?

Lol, unlikely I guess.

what is it about sleepy japanese villages and their brutal customs

"Syuuri also explains a lot about the legend behind the dance, and it’s apparently a very brutal ritual in the past."

Next thing you know someone will go USOSDA on the show.
