Pronouns hm? I have to admit Nanaka’s dere and tsun counters are very easily switched… Then again Sana was at fault too, it’s like Yay do something good! Then bam he messes up a bit heh. In the end he was able to come out with + points so it’s fine.

XD So awesome to see that the “Pronouns” nickname has stuck. Credit for that belongs solely to my Aoi-loving friend, who gets more reason in this episode to tell me she’s perfect, I guess. ^^;

I was feeling School Days vibes with all of Sana’s shoot-in-foot moments in the first half of the ep. And the eerie knife reaction. But I think I’ll agree with above commenters so far on the hypothesis: I suppose there had been some potential wrist-slitting in the past for whatever reason.

I await this loli-DFC’s appearance before I choose my own favorite girl of the series. Shuri didn’t get many points today sadly, except maybe admitting her oppai-defeat during the ’swimsuit contest.’ And I always like hearing Nanoha underneath all of it.

Good point there… I haven’t seen it in that way.
It makes sense for her mom calling him every day, him being afraid of blood and especially, his denail to get off his watch… if anything lead us to Sana’s failed attemp to suicide himself in the past, the question right now is… why?

Well its actually obvious what they are trying to imply. Wrist+knife+blood+wont take off watch, get the drift? Hence why his mom calls him every night to see that he’s well… alive.
Then again who knows untill we get a actual confirmation

I think it could be possible that Sanas father got murdered or commited suicide during these last five years (by using a knife) and ever since, Sana can’t stand the image of a bloody knife… The wrist-watch could be the last memento of his father, which is why he treasures it that much…

I figured that I didn’t quite remember the details of the first Episodes, so I speed-rewatched the first Episode just now (meaning watching the subs in VLC-Player in fast-fast-forward mode) . Originally I wanted to find out the reasons for Sana moving back to that town, but I got disappointed since he just said he “had his reasons” (but avoiding the direct answer is suspicious…)
But by rewatching it, I noticed that there was a suspicious shot of that wrist-watch while his mum called him in teh evening.

I also wondered when I watched Ep1 for the first time why he was so sad when his mother called him. And after watching Ep2 (and now Ep3 as well) I am wondering why his mother is calling him everyday anyways… He seems to be that type of person who is quite independent, so she wouldn’t phone just because of worries… If my theory is right, then maybe because of the death of Sana’s father caused her mind to snap in so this is a result of mental damage…

Well, these are just hypothesis’s but this way, things would make sense. Maybe someone likes this idea…
If it really was right, I would be the first one not to believe it or lokking like XDDDDDDD…

Hmm, really? But in that situation, it was highly suspicious that he didn’t remove the watch, considering it’s all just his childhood friends there, not to mention he changed the subject real fast, w/o talking more about it.

In that kind of situation, one just can’t help but extrapolate tropes from it ;).

I don’t take my watch off either, in fact since I put it on after a battery change in dec 2004 it I have yet to take it off once. I’m doing it just for the hell of it and see how long until circumstances force me to take it off.
