That’s the first time I’ve seen 0079 used outside of the sidestories and the manga – mostly I see it as ‘Mobile Suit Gundam’ if anything, with the numeric titles reserved for the series that follow it, like 0083, 08 MS Team, etc.

Well, let’s just start complaining after like, 5 episodes, okay? Seriously, there’s just not enough material to dismiss Gundam 00 as another Wing, despite that it does have a feel of Wing, but better.

Uh Haesslich, Mobile Suit Gundam is also known as Gundam 0079 (as this is the setting for the original series), and while Gundam 00 does have a little Wing vibe to it, I hope it doesn’t go down that path. So far the action in 00 is comparable to UC as in there are no fancy moves by Gundams, no mass whorings and no Gundam posings. YET.

No, Xellos – SEED was a remake of Mobile Suit Gundam (untrained civilian hero on a space habitat thrown into the middle of a war, someone who he’s related to was working on the mobile suits that he ended up fighting from, then going down to Earth, crossing parts of Earth, going back into space….).

Bah, I mistook their names. Thanks a lot for pointing it out moyism.

@hashihime: Yeah, I kinda meant the statement in that way. Before this, I would’ve not even paid attention to Shugo Chara. The more I “sink” in to it, the more I know how to appreciate it, heh.

@cdeeee: Eh, SEED started off with Kira taking control of a Gundam, w/o prior training. I wouldn’t call that exactly “a hell lot better”. Gundam 00 has a more believable and interesting storyline for me, also the start was pretty well executed to the effect.

@arigatou: Oh yes, Setsuna just gives me the Sousuke vibe, a lot.

Quick heads up kurogane, Jun Fukuyama has no part in Gundam 00 to my knowledge. If you’re talking about Setsuna, the honors go to Mamoru Miyano.

For Kimikiss pure rouge, I was a little surprised they changed the story slightly but after thinking about it for awhile, made sense. No point trying to do a harem-ish show just to show off all the girls when they could instead introduce some new anime only (I think) male characters to help spread the love. Also makes it a bit more believable in terms of whatever potential hookups may happen throughout the show versus if the main male “going through” all the girls… although if JC Staff did something like KyoAni in how they handled Kanon and the various girls’ route, that may have worked out as well. Meh, I’m still hyped for the show and IMHO it started off decently enough :)

Hmm about that chinese costume girl in Gundam 00 she is similar to Chao Ling Shen of Negima Manga. And the storyline seems from FMP + Gundam Wing
