You’re Under Arrest: Full Throttle

Okay, wow that was f-cking lol. No seriously. While Miyuki did save the kid and all, but the collateral damage is pretty unbelievable. No seriously, taking out a few patrol cars, a military motorbike and someone else’s car, not to mention jumping in to the back of a van traveling at >100km/h will seriously need you to suspend your belief. A lot. Well, like tj_han says, you’ll need to believe that “traffic cops are SWAT, Naval Diving Unit, Special Ops, SEAL, Ninja, Naruto, Bankai, Mecha, Gatekeepers and Sector 9 all rolled into one compact pretty unit stationed in a friendly neighbourhood police station.”

Otherwise, I guess it’s good to see You’re Under Arrest back, and like tj_han, I believe my first true anime series was this show, when it was being shown on AXN at that time. South East Asian people will definitely get what I mean. Well, to be honest, I seriously didn’t believe that they would revive this series after the absolutely dismal second season, which was so bad, my mind has already rejected any memories of the show. Well, them producers opening the third season with such a display of suspension-of-disbelief isn’t really going to help bring in new fans, but I guess they’re going straight to the jugular for the old fans of the series, a considerable amount over here, lol.

Also, I must add, the ED, 1/2 sung by Chiaki Ishikawa is both truly unexpected and so misleadingly… well, yuri, with all the depictions of Natsumi and Miyuki. Well, to be honest, it would’ve been great if they found a way to write off Nakajima (Tokairin can stay, he’s awesome) and made those two get together, but chances of that happening are like the chances of Natsumi waking up on time for work.

You're Under Arrest: Full Throttle

Not expected, but it’s welcomed if they’re going down that way

Well, I hope they keep the over-the-top actions down to a minimum for the rest of the series, except maybe during some climax parts. More importantly, I hope it doesn’t turn out like the Second Season did.

Nakajima is shit. What does Miyuki see in him? Btw, one scene had me lol-ing. It was the one where Miyuki was playing on a game pad hooked to her laptop, on the plane. The only person ever that I know who brings a laptop together with a gamepad and plays games (in this case, melty blood), on the go, is a huge otaku named Xak. Lol.

I think my brain also has made me forget most of season two ^^’
On the other hand….I did not really like the drawing style that was put to use in this one. Sure, it does very much (almost exactly) resemble the style used in at least the 2nd season (and maybe more) but they’ve managed to make them look old (well, ofc they’ve gotten older but still)…and in my opinion, “tired” in some places. It’s something with the eyes I think. But other than that, it feels good to have the Natsuki & Miyuki-combo back. Now we just need to get Miyuki behind the wheel of her Honda Today again

Weirdly enough, I didn’t find the second season all that bad.

Then again, I did watch the YUA In America special. Which was so bizarrely bad it was hilarious, so maybe I just have bad taste.

well.. usually when playing on the keyboard, it would just end getting banged up pretty baddly.

Anyway.. i’m just a big YUA fanboy so having another season is all good for me… :D

    BTW… where is Saori!?

Natsumi x Miyuki. I like a lot. Hopefully there will be more high heel shoe braking , Strikeman and the 50 c.c. woman.

I too, thought the second season wasn’t all bad. It did very well in what it was good at: episodic comedy. Though the last few episodes did left me with some unease and sadness. I mean, the characters were just…. so meant to be with each other.

Here’s to a repeat of Happy Lesson’s final season!!! Screw the other characters, and let’s have a girl x girl relationship!!! Way to bum all the fans of the series!!

Btw, did Miyuki really leave for the States at the end of season 2? I thought it was only Natsumi who left for the special forces.

Are they trying to hint something in th ED? LOL

Did anyone notice Aoi-chan in a wedding dress in the OP sequence???

I think people are reading too much into the ED sequence. As with most yuri related subtext. This show was never about yuri policewomen. And I for one only like yuri in my pr0nz thank you.
