After Axe-tan, now Axe-kun?

From Mainichi News:

TATSUNO, Nagano — A 15-year-old boy was arrested for attacking his father with an ax early Monday, leaving him with severe head injuries, police said.

At about 2 a.m., the boy hit his 44-year-old sleeping father in the head with an ax several times at his home in Tatsuno, local police said. When paramedics arrived at the victim’s home, he was bleeding from his head, but was fully conscious. (Mainichi)

Sigh… I hope this doesn’t mean more cancellations of anime. Axe-tan and Axe-kun, why couldn’t you both had waited ONE MORE WEEK!

Whats with all the axes ?
Do they have an obligatory axe in every apartment in Japan ? Just like those dumb USians have an obligatory gun in every house ?

I guess kitchen knifes are too simple and no longer enough for amateur killing…

I’m getting kinda freak by all this axe killing (or the attempt). Kinda weird that both attack included axe…

Hmm… with all these incidents occuring within a span of a week, and some even attributing these to “interests in anime and manga”, it would seem that we’re being sent back in time to the Miyazaki killing saga. :V

Anime is an evil influence on young minds. All god fearing people, unite and burn down this filth.

Damn it! Well, at least there are no more animes like School Days end or Higurashi, I hope so… I don’t want another final episode screwed up by those bastards

Apparently SUN TV ran episode 12 of Higurashi fortunately

You know, the normal course of action would be to try and figure out why Japanese kids are going ape-shit crazy and resorting to murdering their parents.

But you sir, are worried about something that is much more important, much more noble than these trivial murders. You are worried about the cancellation of the almighty animes.

Bravo, sir. I salute you and your selfless dedication to all that is good and holy. Makoto getting killed is definitely more important than the degeneration of Japanese society.

Again, bravo. You have my admiration.

What the hell, what’s going on with Japan. Two axe murders in a row? That’s not normal. Still, these murders are a bit crazy and not many of us could relate to them, I don’t think any of us can honsetly say they understand what it’s like to feel the urge to axe your parents.

    @ TP

I was thinking the same thing. It’s not knives that they’re using, they’re AXES. The last place I saw an ax was at the Renaissance Faire…

AXE huh? Maybe those teens bought it somewhere, maybe from a store. I think this is the most logical answer.

Perhaps the Boy A here was influenced by the Girl A from the last case.

    Karry: I don’t have a gun in my house :) …….thank god.

What a scary world we live in.
