Hm, isn’t it 1 hour and 30 mins? And yes it was very awesome, that doll guy was so much more badass and the fighting was OVER 9000!! in ownage. Yuji also was cooler with 50% less complaining.

I managed to catch the movie while in Japan and I was slightly disappointed because the length was only a measly 65 min ( 5 min for ending theme) and it seemed too compressed and many a time , they cut to the next scene all too suddenly. I assume the director’s cut addresses all these flaws with an additional 30 min of footage. I guess they couldnt let you be in the cinema for too long with Inukami and Kino no Tabi also. I wonder whether they included the special sequence involving Shana-tan and all the main chars from their respective shows in chibi form coming to Sunshine Cinema to catch their own movies……………

Speaking of those Wilhelmina gag scenes, I also loved how they had a scene that seemed to be specifically for that said gag. I mean, Kazumi eating a cookie? I’m pretty sure that scene didn’t need to be in the movie at all.
