Lucky Star 24: T.B.A
Man, can’t believe that Lucky Star is ending already. Throughout it’s run, it has considerably grown on me and it’s going to be hard to get used to a Monday morning without a dose of Kagamin….

So the final episode is a School Festival one, and Patty takes the spotlight, by thinking up of an idea for the group to do for the opening ceremony, a cheerleading dance. No prizes for guessing what dance it is.

Miyuki’s idea for the Cultural Festival is certainly… “unique” to say. Well, at least you tried, Miyuki-san!

Back to Patty, she goes around persuading her friends to all join her for her idea. I admit, it’s a bit hard to resist those puppy-eye looks of hers…

Having done with her classmates, she proceeds to get the seniors as well. With ease, she manages to persuade Konata to do it… but of course, a lot of people would do even more to get those tickets.

With Konata in the fold… it’s an easy task to bring the rest of the senior group in, especially since Konata just knows how to push all the right buttons with Kagamin :).

Aww… Kagamin!!! Yes, you’re so cute! I will so miss more of your cuteness!

The members assembled, tests and stuff put a damper to Patty’s planning… I must say Patty’s excuse is just so darned funny.

Again, Kagamin is just so cute with her serious demeanor, yet passionate feelings.

I’m going to miss Tsukasa’s “blur”-ness as well. She just really does the funniest, unintentional things at times. Barusamikossu~~~~

Haha, the “dame ningen” duo’s thoughts are just so messed up. Miyuki and Minamin in SM play for the lulz.

Miyuki’s mom is just so awesome.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, but Kagamin’s just soooo cute :). One of the rare moments where she’s being a honest to her feelings… awwwww.

Miyakawa sisters cameo. This two should get their own “Binbou Shimai Monogatari” spinoff.

Oh lol, Kagamin in a ghost costume. Thank you KyoAni for the minor fanservice. I do wish their class did a meido-cafe instead……

While Konata is doing a Yuki cosplay for hers. Sigh KyoAni… sigh.

Is this Kagamin getting jealous at their outfits?

Also, poor Akira finally gets to appear in the main show, albeit for around 2-3 minutes. Looks like she and Shiraishi haven’t really patched up yet.
Of course, with the event a day away, the group finally perfect their dance. KyoAni manages to spread more dance fever around. Admittedly, those dances are a pretty healthy exercise :P.

I’ll agree wholeheartedly with Miyuki’s statement. Being part of some big events before, truly the fun part of them are the preparation phases. Working your ass off for something you like or enjoy is a very fulfilling thing.

And so, finally the day arrives. I’ll have to plus some respect points for Shiraishi with his unintended relieving of tension for the gang. I’ll admit he does have quite a skill for comedy and emceeing.

Although… his singing skills still leave a lot more to be desired ^^;;.
And thus… ends a very fun and enjoyable series to watch. KyoAni’s magical touch is still very strong within them, and although Lucky Star’s start was rather disappointing, the show has progressed from strength to strength, now becoming firmly entrenched in the moé landscape of the anime industry. Ending in an open-ended, yet satisfactory way, Lucky Star is definitely another strong franchise done well by the magical touches of KyoAni. I will surely miss the show dearly.

Couldn’t agree more…this was a lot of fun to watch, after the slow start it quickly became one of the series I looked forward to the most every week. I’m sure I’m in the minority and wouldn’t have thought I’d say this when the season started, but I’d rather see more Lucky Star than Clannad.

The final dance sequence is SO begging to be parodied. I can only expect cheerleaders to start turning up in purple dresses prancing about. Anyway, a good KyoAni filler for those who have watched Kanon and are eager to watch Clannad.

On the up side, we have Clannad to look forward to.
