It felt empty because there was a lot of instrumental parts in the song without lyrics. especially around the 4th min mark.

Rest of it is awesome, but I felt the song could’ve been done better as a 4 min song than a 5 min one.

taishou.a is the work of bermei.inazawa, who i recognized from dj max portable 2 (lost&found) but apparently he’s pretty big in whatever scene he’s in. fantastic instrumentals to go with solid vocals that suit the music well – first thing i did after listening to the whole thing was put it on my mp3 player.

naraku no hana isn’t eiko’s best, but imo one of her better efforts. it’s definitely a departure from her OP in the first higurashi series, but i dont think anybody is going to top that track for a long time anyways.

i wonder if you felt that naraku was a bit empty cuz of the whole reversed-track deal with eiko’s season 1 song. that was just weird… hanrehareharei became something like iieenaaahnreeeuhh, lol

Gotta say, though…I kinda miss the old first season OP. It just had such a great unsettling creepiness to it.

I will probably be listening to “Naraku no Hana” 24 seven after I acquire the full version.

I have to say Eiko Shimamiya really does the song well. It’s one of my favorite OPs.

Also:

“Taishou-A” >”why or why not”

“The slow and melancholic feel of the song really embodies the tragic elements of the Higurashi series.”

I feel the same way for both songs.
