Gretel kawaii yo Gretel!

Otogi-Jushi Akazukin

It’s the twintails I tell you, the twintails!

So, erm.. yeah, I’m watching Otogi Jushi Akazukin for now. It’s got it’s ups and downs, but it’s not bad a show to watch. Sigh, even the kid-targeted anime nowadays are moe enough to watch :P.

What makes Gretel even better is that she’s voiced by the wonderful (and wonderfully plain) 20-year-old Yahagi Sayuri (Karin in Karin, Kuu in Kyoushirou to Towa no Sora). I’m sure she was practicing sounding normal in this show, because she doesn’t sound at all as extreme as in those other two roles, for better or worse. I think O-hagi (her nickname) is going to be one of the best.

Yeah, I just noticed her seiyuu. Sayuri Yahagi has a good voice, IMO, just that she needs to get better roles. Her Karin was ok and I thought her Kuu was quite good too, apart from when the annoying character idiosyncrasies start to come in that is.

Speaking of which, I’d really like to see more of Yui Makino, she’s already one of my favourite rookie seiyuu.
